Hi all, For sure a beautiful day Thursday, today kind of suxs. Going thru the big "D" which I expected, kind of, & have many thoughts about that & thus the suxing part of this message. Now for the good part; I saw my therapist in the Cities last Thursday & he said he feels I am ready to move on. All I have to do is prove I can pay for surgery, take the tests & I should get my go ahead letter. I am just jumping for joy over that. & if the soon to be x wife & I could work something out she could help me pay for it with money & land her parents left her, looks like a no way from her so I will keep battling for funds. Just wanted to update you all.
Hugs,
Janelle

I guess congratulations are in order, so, Condratulations!
I do have a question though. Since my therapist never required proof that I could afford SRS or complete some tests before giving her recommendation Letter, I'm wondering why yours requires that. Is it a government provided program? Or maybe you're just in a country that requires those. Just confused.
If you get your soon-to-be ex-wife to help pay, let me know how you did it. I'd love for mine to share that financial experience.

Hey Jenna, getting her to help will be harder than getting teeth pulled, but one can wish. I am not sure why the Dr. at the U. of minn. does that. I do know that because they do follow this, which they tell me is the benjamine policy, I only need 1 letter insted of 2. Either way I am so happy to see the end coming so I can be me myself with nobody digging to see if I'm nuts or doing this for fun. Thats kind of what its like at work, they think I am doing it for attention, wrong.
Well hun I hope that answered your question,if not let me know & I try again.
Hugs & kisses,
Janelle

Thank you Janelle. I was curious as I hadn't seen those requirements before. I need to make an appt with a doc for my 2nd letter. I sent my surgery app to Dr. Bowers in Trinidad, but haven't heard back about a date yet. The sooner the better.
Congratulations Again!!

Hi Janelle
I'm glad to hear that you're doing well, but I'm also confused as to why proof of finances should have anything to do with this, it's actually none of his business, and what kind of tests is he talking about? I've never heard of any of this, including the part that doing this will change the requirements to only one letter instead of two, none of it makes sense to me.

Hi Karen, I guess I'm not really sure. The test is like the one I took before I started treatment & my understanding it is just about the same. As for one letter again my guess is because they do all this other stuff & the fact they work with serveral Dr.'s is the only reason I can see. When I see them in July I will ask just how all this works & get things cleared up. You all now have my mind spinning,oh well like we say at work. Have a good one all.
Hugs,
Janelle
