The story is that I was fishing on the Internet for a date to last weekend's dance. One woman e-mailed to me that she was also going to the dance and she sent me her picture, too.
But by the time her e-mail arrived, I was already in transit to the dance party, without seeing her picture.
So, I went to the dance, and so did she, but neither of us knew who the other was, in time-honored blind date tradition.
Both of us were dancing, just not with each other.
The next day, I e-mailed her to say that I was there, but didn't know who she was. I also told her that I was the guy in the little denim outfit, with the tall boots.
She wrote back:
"And yes I know who you are, that skirt wouldn't look that good on me!"
