How about your hands - yes, I know some are blessed with small hands but most males have larger hands than a GG - assuming same body size. I am feeling pretty and then I look at myself and all I can see are those big hands. I am really getting self conscious about it. I practice keeping my arms in close and sometime I think it helps to keep my hands in front of me. What do you do to minimize?

First off, many of us (not me ) shave their hands. It's a start. And wearing pretty fingernails helps to slim down the ol' fat sausage fingers.

It's funny, but yea, when I wax my hands they actually look a little bit smaller.

I'm lucky to have small hands, although they are covered with lots of hair, but that can be easily taken care of. Maybe that sort of evens things out since I have a prominent adam's apple and a big nose. Well, maybe not!

I'm not so sure it's a blessing being embarassed every time I have to shake hands (which is quite often) as mine is swallowed up and crushed. I'm sure they'll look quite pretty someday though.

I feel that when shaking hands a goof firm handshake is more important than the size of your hand. I never notice what size someone's hand is when I'm shaking it, but I do notice if it feels like I'm shaking a dead fish. So try not to feel embarrassed.

I agree with Rebecca concerning handshakes. I do have small almost feminine hands. With my nail salon giving them rounded nails and pink polish, my hands really look feminine. They are also hairless and always have been. But when I shake hands, I do so with a firm grip. And I rarely get my hands "crushed" since I use a little trick to prevent that. When you take the other persons hand, do it in amanner that puts the web between his/her thumb and index finger firmly against the same web on your hand. Unless the other person is supremely strong, they will unable to compress your hand. It does work! I learned that over 50 years ago, and have taught it to a lot of people since then.

Well, my hands (and arms) are pretty much bigger than a GGs, but you know what the funny thing is? I have my Mothers hands and arms, hers are very similar. So, I don't worry about it too much. Longer nails will always make your hands look slimmer anyway.

My wife, who is 5'6" wears extra-large men's gloves.

I like the idea of shaving, and keeping polish on the nails - but at the end of the day I would bet that it is not hand size that keeps us from passing.

I keep them shaved along with having longer fingernails. The main thing I don't like about my hands besides their size, is they are a collection of scars and scabs due to mishaps and recklessness while in male mode.

I don't pass so I no longer care about the size of hands or my wide shoulders. I wrote two threads about that very thing and I had 2 revelations about it.

But if you worrie about it like the other girls have said , shave them good or wax, put long and painted nails on and that helps great.

I have medium size hands. I know that cuz when I buy leather work gloves for loading and unloading my truck I find large gloves are a little to big , and the few time I have found med gloves they fit great so there not to bad.

And yes I find a weak hand shake to be more disturbing then small hands.

Of course when I am in fem mode I shake hands fem like, palm down and a light grip. I have never had a guy try to kiss my hand ...... that would be neat, but weird.

I shave my hands and arms, and whenever I can I wear my nails long and polished. I also think that how I use my hands makes a difference in how others see them.
I don't grasp or grap with my whole hand; I use my fingertips much more than I would when I'm in male mode. It looks more delicate.
I can palm basketball with my big hands, but picking up objects with my finger-tips makes me feel more delicate and feminine and I think that it affects the way my hands appear to others.

I try and wear tops with sleeves that are long enough to cover a bit of my hand. Some tops have long bell sleeves. Certainly a feminine manicure would help a lot. My image consultant helped with these types of concerns. I wish I had more time to spend with her, she really is great at the tricks for hiding what I wish to hide and flaunting the little I wish to fluant. I also try to consciously give the feminine fingers only hand shake.

Hello Kate!
Darn if the last time I was out and about a man did not come up to me, tell me I looked great..."except for the large man hands that gave you away". Not much one can do about changing the size of my hands. I had my nails perfectly manicured, no hair on them, just big fat hands I guess. I'm doing my best to be feminine, guess there are some things that can't be helped......gloves? To hot in Phoenix!

I do not have any hair at all on my hands so that is not a problem. I guess it is just that they are larger than life or so they seem and I am self conscious about them. I usually give my nails a nice coat of paint before I go out but don't take the time to put on the fakes. Always in a hurry to get somewhere I guess. So what you arf all saying is there is no miracle cure !!!!!

Hi charlie - We have to meet sometime when I come to Phoenix. I am hearing from some other Phoenix girls who like to venture out.
