When Worlds Collide

Tonight I went out with a friend to a strip bar, I was in guy mode. I saw a woman I know and went over to say 'Hi'. About 30 seconds in I realized that the person I was talking to had never met me in drab. I told her I was friends with ...(a mutual friend) and she then realized she knew me. We hung out and had a great time, like we have in the past, but it was a weird thing for me. I'm glad I saw her as Ken but it is a lot to see the two worlds collide.
Has anyone else ever had a similar thing happen?

Not like that. I have made friends that only know me dressed but have not seen the drab side . I would be fun though.

That hasn't happened to me. I do try quite hard to keep my drab and dressed sides distinct. With a couple of the groups that I've joined lately, that may change, but for that group of people- that's why I joined.

Funny, though, that it happened to you at a strip club. MAKE IT RAIN!!!

Sure have... And, it's sort of like what you got...

The "normal" people who've seen me dressed later recognize me, in drab, and go, "Hey, great to see you again!"

The CD/TG people who've also seen me dressed later see me in drab and are usually stunned... "Buaa, buaa, but... You look so different!"

I suppose one group sees a man in a dress, and the other group sees a woman with manly features.

I'm still wondering why the CD/TGs have more problems with this than the "normal" people....

Besides my wife I have two female friends that know I dress. One does our massages every two weeks, including tonight. She sees my painted toe nails, shaved legs, panties, etc. Both like me to send photos of when I'm dressed. One, who lives in another part of S. Calif. just invited me to come up and go shopping with her for Alice clothing. I also got together with another member of this forum once to go out together. He met me at home as himself, we had dinner, then got dressed and went out for the evening. And I just came out to our son and daughter in law and I once went to their house dressed for a halloween party. So my list is slowly growing.

A GG friend, and admin/moderator of another forum, has known me a while as Donna, in person as well.

The morning after an event at a hotel we were staying at she was at the door waiting for her SO to bring the car around. My wife and I were headed out to our car. She had never met my wife, so I stopped to introduce them.

She looked at me and wondered who the heck I was?! :heehee: Until she recognized my voice.

At another event, the first one my wife went to with me, I went up to the room to change to drab before heading home. I returned to the party in my tux, and walked up to a CD friend and her wife who were taking photos with everyone, and asked, how about one with me?

She was speechless, she and her wife thought I was coming on to her, until I said, I'm Donna. :D
