Please bear with me. My style of writing has been described as " Train of thought " and some people find it to be unreadable.

So this is how my night went.

3 weeks ago I scheduled a session with a local make-up artist to help correct some things I had been doing and to help figure out colors and what the Heck to do with some of the make-up I have. Like I bought this two eye shadow palettes from MAC and thy are simply gorgeous, but I couldn't figure out how to make them look good. I told her about me and what I wanted and gave her the option to back out in my first mail to her. She said she would be happy to help and that I wasn't he first one. So anyway. The night to go see her had arrived

Now in the past I have gone places and couldn't get out of my car and if I could I couldn't get myself to go in anywhere. Well, tonight I was going to have none of that. So part of what I asked her was if I could come dressed to go out after and that she do a total make over on my for going out to a bar/dance club. Once again she responded positively. So pertaining to my past, weak kneed-ness, I decided that I would just simply have to go in a skirt and not pants. I figure, heck she knows already and I asked her if I could so it wouldn't come as a some shock to her. So instead of the mini and pink top and heels that I was going out wear out that night I decided for a little more conservative look. So I got dressed and all my make-up packed and started to put all the items in my car. Then I thought what if my car breaks down. Should I pack some pants, just incase? NO! No pants. What happens, happens tonight and that's that. So off to the city I go. Found a good parking space, grabbed my stuff and walked to where I was going.

She comes down to get me and we go in. There is an older couple and their son there. They must have been in the 50"s and son in his late 20's maybe. We all get in the elevator. They take one look at me and the older gentlemen leans over and whisper's,he thinks only to his wife. " I think that's a guy" No response from his wife. Not even a wrinkle on her lip. I laughed inside. I don't have any pictures of what I was wearing but I can tell you it was 2 inch tan heels from nine west, ultra sheer panty hose from Nordies, ( That's for you Marla ) a knee length cream colored pencil skirt with just the slightest shimmer in it, and a blue-ish crepe style top with just a little bit of shimmer in it as well. Looks better n in person then in words. At least I think so and it feels super sexy to wear. Was that the worst thing that could happen? If it is, bring it on.

So we go through the make-up routine and I find that I was doing most of it right all along, but we did refine almost everything, so practice, practice, practice for me. Once where done, I'm changed into my party clothes, ( those are in the pictures )off to the club.

Once there, I hook up with Evie who I had arranged to meet there and we go in. Small bar and dance club, but everyone is super friendly and no one cares where there. Within minutes of walking in one of the fellow bar queens came over and said hi and how glad that we could be there. She gave us her name and asked ours. At this point you could have said you where anybody as I wasn't going to remember it anyway. I dubbed her " Ester Williams " as she had on swim cap. She had just come from Big Gay Bingo night. We have a couple of drinks and talk and enjoy ourselves for a couple of hours. Then, its time to go home.

Doesn't sound like much in this story, but it is in my head. So I managed to open several doors all in one night.

First time I went out in public in the day time and without make-up mind you as I was on my way to a makeup studio and they ask that yo come clean
First time showing my self with the whole package, clothes, make-up wig nails and CONFIDENCE
First time out in a club as Lisa
First time talking about makeup and it's many uses with anybody other then a SA and really working on the technique

Nobody was mean to me, the world didn't stop rotating, I didn't grow a hideous goiter on my neck or sprout a third head. The night could not have been more perfect. OK. My soon to be ex-wife could have been there. I still think the world of her even thought we can't live together.

The next time I want to go to a wine bar. Listen to some jazz and drink a nice glass or two of red wine in the cool of the night.

So this door is open. The breeze is coming in and it feels good. Now if I can just figure out a way to make it to SCC.

Thanks for listening and to all of you who read this and have never ventured outside the closet. One day you will go out when your ready and when you do I hope that it is a magical for you as you dream it!

Lisalotte

PS. A note about the pictures. These are taken at 3am after being in a club sweating for three hours and I have no skill at either posing or photography. So I understand that they are bad and the posing is lousy.

Hi Lisalotte, No problem reading your story, everything is perfectly clear. Glad your adventure turned out so nicely. Thanks for writing it up and sharing it. I especially liked the part about not taking a back-up pair of emergency "duds"<smile>. dd

My writing is best described as ducks in a pond flapping hard trying to take off but can't, and why those ducks are flapping wildly is because they were startled by the gunshots to make them fly, but they can't, they just keep flailing away as if there's some sort of reason to this.. why are they shooting at us??... makes no sense.. just like my writing.. see..

Great story and don't worrie about your writing , it's realy very good. If you had a man ask "I think she's a man " without makeup. Dam girl your better then me. I have yet to go to a night club. I have done most other things but that's something I want to do. Just don't have any one to to with. Roberta M I don't think is ready to do that yet. I guess we will have to drive to Seattle to go with you hun. Now that would be a weekend Seattle would never forget. On second thought I don't think Seattle is ready for us two Canadian girls. LOL. Like the girls in the closet I have to live through you brave girls whom go out to clubs.
You know I never take any drab clothes with me. Untill I first read how some girls pack I drab kit it never ocourced to me to do so. I figgered if I broke down got lost or something like that I would deal with of ok fem-mode. I do like the idea of bringing a second pair of fem shoes incase you brake a heal. I envie you Hun. Keep up the day light outings and go shopping in brod daylight. It funnnnnnn!!!!!! See ya in the funny papers. LOL.
