My boss and I have been (politely) arguing over the last few days, as we straighten out some miscommunications over what exactly I'm supposed to be building; and when the miscommunications get cleared up, there's always the parts that we hadn't realized that we hadn't defined, and now need to nail down (cases where there might not be any "right" answer.)

I missed coffee-break this afternoon as I needed to go out to grab a (late) lunch, but when I returned from that, I went down to the coffee area and cleared up with him what we should in one of those gray areas.

As I returned to my office, a little on the frustrated side (having the requirements change on me several times a day is nothing new at all), and sat down at my chair, out of no-where what popped in to my head was,

"Darn!! I have my {cross-dressing} meeting tonight, and I brought everything I need so that I can go right after work, but I forgot to bring a decent lipstick!"

Now where did that come from, and why right then?

Fortunately, I did recall a moment later that I'm pretty sure I did bring one of my better lipsticks -- but I get the feeling that my subconscious was telling me something in that mental outburst!

It shows that no matter how bad work goes you still have the ability to remember what is really important.

Lipstick, just the right lipstick, is more important than job, career, etc.

I think that just maybe...perhaps....you're reading a little too much into it.

Opps, I did forget to bring a body-shaper :( And I'm intending to go out to a (straight) club in my dress afterward the club social, so some tummy taming would have been a good idea. Sigh. (Now is there a nearby store still open that would have one?...)

Oh, I have lipstick on my mind all the time.

I don't know - but I have had a similar experience.

Last week my wife and I were getting ready to go golfing, and I thought "I should wear shorts - it's a nice day out" and then almost immediately thought "wait - I haven't shaved my legs in like 2 weeks - there is no way I can go out in shorts..." Oh how life has changed.

It's funny we get any work done these days. These new thigh highs are more low thighs. And I cannot do that job, I will ruin my nails. What are they thinking anyway?
