Like the others said, waking up in the morning and breathing are pretty much enough. Usually, I'm already there.

I concur with the others, breathing! ... now that I've been doing this for a little while, CDing is becoming a major part of my everyday life and so I don't need to be "in the mood" anymore but when I was new to all of this, there wasn't anything I could "do" that would get me in the mood. I either was or wasn't interested in dressing. Mostly, just like today, I always was "up for it"! :D

Funny I have the opposite problem here in Southern California.
I will wear an overcoat, and snow shoes at the beach, to be a non conformist. Interestingly I get more weird looks, than when I go out en femme.

After thinking this over, I believe that I'm in a mood for either gender about half of the time. I really like both of my gender personalities, and they are quite different. It's easy to take advantage of my "guy" mood, but Tina takes a bit of time and timing, so I get to take advantage of that mood fully less than the time I'm in the mood.

I guess what this means, functionally, is that I've begun to divide my interests by gender. For example, Tina is always at least 4 inches taller (heels are wonderful!) so something as simple as dust on top of an amoire can spark Tina thoughts. On the other hand, a pile of logs having been dropped onto the side lawn brings on "guy" thoughts about chain saws and the like.

Ok, so I'm a bit weird, but then again, isn't everyone! :)

1. Stressful workday, need relief
2. Feeling too masculine, especially if I'm not only forced to dress in suits or do "manly" tasks
3. Need to feel aroused

I have found that recently what inspires me to dress is the cold! Also I have to pass a lingerie store going to a from work (and at lunch time). They have such great stuff in their window it's hard just to walk past and act normal (whatever that is). Exactly.. however thinking back to when I would be in a drought it would take a little thing like smelling the right perfume.. but mostly seeing a woman wearing shoes (heels of course) would set me in the mood to dress up.. I used to have long (ish) droughts and unless things came together perfectly I wouldn't dress even in the least (shoes or something minimal).. now if I have any time to myself I'm Carly in a flash..

I guess I have to agree with those that said breathing LOL. The only thing that makes me ever put on my guy clothes is the requirement to go out and deal with the world, or deal with those that come to my home that don't know (most people LOL). In fantasyland where no one would see or care whether you were dressed en femme or not, I think I would just ultimately go 24/7 with it. Of course, as we all know, it isn't fantasyland out there is it......:(

This weekend, I walked through the lobby of my building, which has a dance studio as part of it, and it was full of hot women dressed for a salsa party. It took me about two minutes to make my way through the incredibly spicy, slinky and tiny costumes, and by the time I was in the elevator, I couldn't wait to get dressed!
