Length of Skirt

As a older mature CDer, I look better in a skirt that comes down to just above my knees. I would look a DG in a mini.

Hi Girls,

I'm sorry but I cheated and ticked 2 options - calf and full length. I love both lengths depending on where I'm going and what I'm doing. I have got a few knee length skirts that I am starting to get a bit more ambitious and wear, but, being older I won't wear anything shorter.

I was a mini girl but, given my middle age, I'm now predominantly a knee length lady. I still wear shorter skirts sometimes and I like figure hugging pencil skirts to mid calf length too.

A lot of trannies have great legs and, if you do, show them off. They're a great distraction.

I've always had a thing about pleated skirts. So, months and months ago I bought a very long cream skirt (about 42 inches) on ebay by my favourite shop - Long Tall Sally. When it arrived I took one look at it and said 'I'll NEVER get into that! I tried anyway and I think although it's marked 14UK it's more like a 10UK.

Anyway, a few weeks later, I saw another, again, a 14UK by Long Tall Sally but in black, again, about 42 inches (that's UK inches :rolleyes: ). I thought I'd give it another go, so I bid and won it. When it arrived I looked at the waist and immediately thought 'that looks better'. I tried it on and again couldn't do up the waist.

Over the past 3 weeks or so I've been dieting (well, more managing and controlling what I eat). I've just tried the black one on again and here I am typing this in it. It is still a bit tight to do up, but if I stick with my current eating hablts I hope it will be a lot slacker in the next 4 to 6 weeks.

I'm very pleased with the way it hangs and moves. Must pop out to the shops now to 'road test' it :) .

Just the fact that they are all skirts makes them all fun to wear! But I feel the most womanly in the longer ones. There are times when the shorter ones are appropiate, however.

As one can guess from my profile and avatar pics, I do love my black leather mini. The only feminine feature I think I have to run with (no pun intended) would be my legs. So I like short, mid-thigh skirts that are swishy, wrap, tiered, drop-waist, etc. Ok, I'll admit it. I love the way it feels when I'm wearing pantyhose and a short skirt creeps up my thighs when I go to sit down. :D But honestly, they're not really age appropriate for me. I do also love a nice conservative knee to calf length skirt too. It has to be something elegant and I like silky fabrics that swish around my legs. I don't like anything longer whether it's a dress or skirt.

I selected mini skirt, but i really prefer the size between mini and knee lengths. Something that has a hem about mid to low thigh length. As i was an (male, and yes i wore lycra bike shorts) aerobics instructor during the nineties, i developed muscular thighs and they are still pretty 'big', so anything that covers up the top half of my thighs is preferred.

Having said that, my main clothing style preference is business skirt suits, so most of them have reasonable length skirts anyway. But i will wear any length skirt if it goes with the top and shoes, so it all comes down to the style i'm trying to achieve at the time.
