decided to tell my HR manager that I will be transitioning. Spoke with her for well over an 1 1/2 hrs today. Answering questions for her and asking questions. We covered almost everything. We agreed on a general approach to my transition to wait till my breast's develop and start showing, at that time my manager above me and the company will then be informed of my transition to Kimberly. She will start putting together materials for Training classes to educate the employees etc about transitioning employee's. I have suggested that she can use the resources of my therapist to do company training etc, which she is receptive too use. We discussed a little of everything including which bathroom to use.

I was nervous to talk with her and was dreading this day, but it went so well and she is very supportive of me. She even talked with her manager, with my okay, about it and she is also supportive. So the process of transition is now starting at work for me.. She did make a comment that the way I started by dressing more femininely, then wearing makeup, then jewelry etc. Basically slow changes made the acceptance by fellow employee's easier so far, will make the transition to Kimberly go much easier when it happens.

Now all I need to do is let the hormones work, undo the mannerism's of 50+ years of being a guy and be me. I am so happy today. Kimberly :battingeyelashes:

Kimberly, that is great news for you. That was the first step at work and it went perfectly for you. That was the hardest part and you gave them plenty of time to get things together for you and your coworkers, good girl. Hugs all around :hugs:. I envy you very much. Keep us informed. :daydreaming:

Congratulations on your progress! That is great that management is working with you so well. The farthest I've gone yet at work is just growing my natural hair out and telling people I CD on the weekends. You are quite brave. :hugs:

Been on the hormones now, the T-blockers since Saturday and started on the estrogen on Tuesday. Was wondering for those on hormones, did you notice your breast's were firmer? Like this morning in the shower they seemd firmer and shapelier. Is that possible or do you think it's more in the mind? For those on hormones, how long before you saw significant breast development? Anxious and curious to know. :battingeyelashes:

Everyone first reacts to hormones at different times, Kimberly, though three days seems rather quick to see noticeable changes. But who knows? :)

Make an appointment with your doctor and he/she will tell you what you need to do.

Kimberly, I started taking saw palmetto in 1990 and have never stopped.
I noticed my breast showing definitely in about 1997. In 2007 I increased by adding fenugreek, and now have full B cups.

I haven't taken the standard hormones due to finances.

1st,
Congratulations Kim..

But as far as breast development in a time frame of days is so not likely at all..sometimes we only see what we want to see or wish for..
What your experiencing is only in the mind..
The 1st physical change that you will feel in a week or two, is in your skin, it will start to feel softer, then in the comming months you will start to develop Real breast tissue..
The best way to determine your progress as far as delopment goes, is to take accurate measurements of your body now..like the rib cage, bust, waist, upper hips, lower hips (butt) thighs, calves, arms, wieght, height, etc.. and then re-measure once a month to compare & see your progress, so as time passes, you will see a shifting of body mass on the chart..
Years ago, I downloaded a small program called TS Log, so I could keep tract of my progress at 1st, but after the 1st year or so, I got lax and failed to keep it up to date, there's also a section in it that I could log my meds & dosages and any other notes..
It's still available in the TransGender Care site http://www.transgendercare.com/medical/resources/translog/default.asp
There's also lots of other great info on that site you may want to check out too..:)

Good for you Kimberly. You are a very nice looking woman.
You should have an easy time being out and female I would think.

Hope you never go through the hell of being without a job for 2 years that I have had to endure.

One thing I learned from my other TS friends, if one of your coworkers give you any harassment you go straight to HR with it.
