My sister called me this afternoon, quite concerned about the difficulties in my marriage. I had been planning to tell her when I visited her (a few days from now), but I decided to tell her on the phone, so that she would know that I've been building a support network and working on healing myself.
Through her professional training, she knew exactly what the terms meant. To summarize (as I am tired), she was pleased that I was able to tell her, made sure to tell me that she loves me, and that she was happy that I've found something that makes me feel good.
