Not sure if this is the forum for this, but I'll let the mods determine that. Had an interesting IM from my GG friend today (the only one of my friends whom I've come out to ). When we had met a couple of weeks ago to talk about my CDing activities, I had mentioned to her that it would be interesting to see what it would be like to go to a bar or club and get some attention from the guys there. What would it be like to be flirted with? Well, she had been mulling this over for a while, I guess, and sent me an IM saying ".....please don't do something like this alone. It's bad enough for a woman but a CD'er might have something bad happen. If you want to do this, I'll go with you and watch your back, but don't go alone!!" Well I reassured her that I would never even think about doing something like this alone, and if I did, it would only be with a group of friends. That made her feel better. Concern for my safety is why I knew she would be the perfect person to open up to. She's a gem!

On a side note, she also told me about a very good book on makeup techniques called "Making the Face" by Kevyn Aucoin. I found it on Amazon for only $15. Just got it today, and it's an amazing book. Fully illustrated with step by step procedures on doing all sorts of makeup styles and effects. If you want to learn about makeup, especially eye makeup, this would be a great investment. She also gave me 3 more books on makeup techniques. Got some reading to do now!!! Later... :)

Yes, it looks really good. I think I can finally start to master my makeup techniques, especially the elusive eye shadow!! :)

Eyes have always been the hardest part for me. Blush and contouring comes a close second.

Well Kathi, from what I've seen in your photos, you do a great job. Your makeup looks very natural and compliments your facial structure beautifully.

I've always got page 24 (Shading and highlighting...) open next to me when I'm at the mirror!

Eventually it'll stick in my head!

Wow,she is special indeed and so is Kevin's book, what helped me was that they were life size images I could put right beside my make up mirror and copy. The part at end where he transforms the guy shows what can be done if you have the skills.

Your friends words almost sounded identical to the way my wife thinks of it. She is always worried someone will contront me if out dressed. I think it is important to find a tg friendly location to go to that should help. I to would love to have a "girls" night out to the bar. It appears you have a special friend i would take he rup on her offer

Good luck
