Don't you hate when you would like to get dressed up but there are too many things going on in daily life to do it. How do you all deal with that?

Cindy want's to come out and play :heehee:

Ok it's not the best solution, but in the past when i've had the desire to dress but i've been to busy, i've compromised to a point where i at least could dress a bit, even if not all the way.

Something as simple as wearing minimal makeup, a wig, lingerie and a dressing gown over the top, it still feels nice, and just sitting on the computer or whatching telly dressed like this is enough to keep the desires happy until such time as i can dress fully. :)

There are some days when it just isn't going to happen. I just deal with it. Then when I do get the opportunity to spend some girl time, it's all the better.

How well I can relate to that. I'm self employed so I can set my daily schedule and allow some "girl" time.

OK let's see, hmmm next Tuesday is good, sales still going on, weather looks good, I can get caught up so that Tuesday is open, I'll still have the rest of the week to finish everything. Perfect, good to go. Tuesday morning and it's pouring rain, the phone is ringing off the hook with emergency service calls.

By 4 PM I'm NOT a "happy camper"

I think we've all "been there done that". All I can do is plan for another day and hope it's better the next time.

I hate it! hate it and hate it!

It's so frustrating! Sometimes I put just a touch of lipstick or lip gloss just to feel its taste or a piece of feminine underwear under my "other" clothing.

But it is impossible not to feel frustrated:sad:

Some days are like that but then I may dress anyway and go about the day. It may involve the public but as long as I'm not in contact with folks I know, I'll just 'get'er done.' This does not happen very much but sometimes.
More often dressing goes on hold.

It makes the times you get to dress that much better!

I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes the best I can do is dress for about 1 hour and then its time for bed...but it's better than nothing. I know that when I do get more time for play, I'll have much more fun with it and then, look out....here comes the camera for an extensive photo shoot!!! :D

As the spanish say "caca pasa" (s_ _ t) happens. Happens to me all the time, so I just deal with it. Sometimes I can put on some very light foundation and light mascera, but not often. Prefer all the way or non at all.

Yes as a matter of fact I do hate it when I'm in the mood and my children who don't know about Tresa, come by unannounced. Or my in-laws just happen to be in the neighborhood. Or any unexpected company. It seems that when I' in the mood to be Tresa everybody and their grandma, wants to come by. Go figure, Kind of makes you want to come out them all. Oh well, that's life.

I agree it is a horrible time like right now, I just long to slip into Rachel's clothes and relax but sadly it is not possible at the moment

Having a very busy life (24/7 cause of the job) there are many times that I would love to get all dolled up but just don't have the time. I find that a bit of lip gloss and perfume help me get into the mind set and honestly that works just fine

Sometimes two months pass between wore something, and i must recognize that i'm anxious to get dressed when that happens. My way to deal with it is at least be underdressed everyday but we alll know that it's not the same.

I seem to have that problem all the time now, since I almost always want to dress, but can only do it occassionally. I just "suck it up", since that's all I can do. I also take the occassion to play more golf, so it's not all bad!

I just set time aside for my required activities and my dressing activities and accomidate them accordingly....

Haven't you seen the extra wire on your closet light switch? It connects to the big neon sign on your roof. It says "COME ON OVER"

It is very frustrating. I usually cope with a little underdressing, and planning a trip to a casino where I get free rooms every month because I am in the players club. My wife thinks I have a gambling problem, but it is an oasis where I can lounge around a nice hotel room, take bubble baths and shave, and put on my own fashion show. Just wish I had someone to share with.

I hear ya.After dealing with work, taking care of things at home, eating, getting things ready for the morning, sometimes it leaves little time to fully dress as I would like. So,I'll work on my nails and chat with other girls.Maybe do some online shopping and try to craft my style.Just pretty much whatever makes me happy. As long as I am allowing myself to forget everything and just be the person I am,I am totally happy

I've learned to take these things in stride. If my plans to dress on any given day need to be changed because something comes up, then I simply pospone my Tanya plans for another day. It's really no big deal.

Fortunately, I have an SO who is very supportive of my dressing and she goes out of her way to help and encourage me to do the best possible job I can at crossdressing. As a result, the times I do spend as Tanya are very special.

Unless we are in the position to devote a major part of our lives to our gender-related lives, other priorities just take over. It's not even necessarily a question of money, but of what needs to get done to execute one's responsibilities.

Changing gender takes time and effort, and there's no way around it.

That doesn't mean we can't think about it, practice our voice or mannerisms in appropriate settings, plan makeup trials, work on complexion, eyebrows, etc.

We do what we can, and often all this warmup has benefits when we do get a chance to don bra and forms :).

It's always a problem for me. On days I work I usually have time for nothing else other than work so other priorities such as mowing the lawn, cleaning, grocery shopping, etc. get pushed back to when I'm off. On off days by the time I'm done with everything I'm usually too tired to dress. However my femme side will just drive me crazy to the point where I make the time to dress up completely.

Been there, done that, have the cute top that I haven't worn yet.

It looks like it happens to just about all of us at one time or another. The important thing is to recognize how the conflict changes the way you behave. I used to get very cranky and treated others without the respect they deserved when I couldn't get in the girl time I expected. Once I figured it out I was better able to channel the negative emotions into something a little less abrasive, and occasionally even positive.

While it didn't make it easier to get my girl on, it did make life a little easier for me and those around me.

This has been my problem since my wife retired a couple of months ago. But there is nothing I can do about it. All I can do is spend a little time here.
Fortunately she has a close friend and they go off shopping or scrap booking about twice a month and they are gone for the day. It is then that Edwina emerges from the closet again, shakes out the moths and relaxes. Next Thursday is one of those days, BLISS.:daydreaming:

I just suck it up and deal. One has to have priorities, and mine right now is with a lot of other stuff, so dressing is on the back burner.

I often wind up not getting things done because I can't get myself to take off the girl clothes. I wind up staying at home, dressed up, not doing much at all, but comfortable as myself. Then on other days I have to over do everything, trying to catch up on chores put off for later.

Hate it? More like despise and loathe when I can't dress up because of homework, family, friends, work, or other responsibilities.
