Went to a "Night Before The Fourth" Fireworks display at the local fairgrounds.
Seems we've had our share of rain these last 2 weeks, and while it didn't "wash out" the display the weather was really overcast with fog. As a result, the display, was, for the most part, hidden in the clouds. Felt kinda sorry for the people who put it on, sorta disappointing to all.
One bright spot that had me grinning through the show and sometimes outright laughing. With some of the first rockets that went up and burst open to give a shower of red stars, the clouds took on a bright pink hue.
My comment was " OOOOHHHH Look at the Pretty Pink Fog"
I guess I was the only one who "got the joke" but I found it quite amusing.
With each burst of red stars I just had to smile to myself and think, "So, that's what it looks like, I always though it was just an expression"
