Although by now I’m getting a bit old for it, my ultimate CD fantasy has for decades been to be the bride. Of course all the preparations are essential parts of my fantasy. Shopping for the dress and getting fitted for it, with Mom’s ( and maybe Grandma’s) watchful eye to get everything just right. Deciding on bridesmaid’s dresses. Rehearsing the wedding. At the reception, I get so many complements on how I look. And then it’s off on my honeymoon.

It would totally be having the superpower to just switch my "canvas" from male to female whenever I wanted (I say canvas since I like having a beard just fine in guy mode but really hate the inconvenience of shaving all the time). I'd do more of my "evil" activities in girl mode, like throwing eggs at people from trees... bwahaha.

Since I'm a more private person with my insecurities, I always fantasized about shrinking down to only a few inches high and dressing up in doll clothes where no one could find me. Next to that room is a hollodeck room like in star treck where they could run sumalations. It can also speed up time like 1 hour out is like 10 years in the room. Imagine a maid bringing you those fantastic pantalettes and chemise (I would insist on silk or satin instead of the cotton you invariably see) and helping you into them. Then having a fabulous, tight, satin corset wrapped round you and laced in. That would be followed, of course, by long flowing petticoats gushing with lace and lovely little bows.

I’m not sure about stockings, how they held them up, but I guess garters did the trick.

I would bend history a bit and have the maid apply full modern makeup and pink nail polish.

Next the piece-de-resistance, a beautiful, flowing, tight fitting, pink silk ball gown. Shoes would be pink high-heeled pumps.

A pink pearl choker and matching earrings would complete Lizzie’s outfit, after which she would sweep down the stairs and into her carriage.

Imagine mixing with all the other beautifully-clad ladies and dancing the night away with those handsome men in their tight trousers (oops – pants to Americans).

And yes, we deviate from the book and Mr. D’Arcy sweeps me off my feet and we slink away to his mansion for a night of ……………………..
