 ..........I live with my parents so reciving packages can be a problem........I've just been on e bay and there seems to be a plethora of goodys from skirts through to wigs. I would love to order some things...I saw a beautiful litttle denim skirt going for £1 with 1 min to go......Theres always a ritual of checking each others packages here and we always get exited when one arives...
Has any one got any ideas to get round this problem. I would love to start building a wardrobe. I could just go shopping( I bought she and glamor magzine yesterday. But thats as far as my shopping goes for now.).I cant afford to move out yet).....there would probebly always be someone in when the mail arives.......I realy realy need to start shopping.................... xxxxxxxxxxChloe

Hi Chloe,

Sorry I'm not more familiar with the postal situation on your side of the pond, but over here you can either get a P.O. Box from the post office, or there are some private companies (such as the above mentioned Mailboxes Etc., although I imagine you'd have different names for it, like "The turtle with the tallywacker" or something else incomprehensible to us yanks.)

Word of caution though, many sellers, both internet and ebay alike, do not like to send to P.O. boxes due to mail/credit card fraud issues.

Hope this was helpful....

It is a problem in the UK, though most of the specialist suppliers to the transgendered community are very good in sending discreet, well packaged orders. One possibility is to get stuff sent to your work address - I used to do that, and if you shop at regular on-line stores like M&S or Next, nobody bats an eyelid. I guess you don't have any TG friends who would act as a mailbox for you?

Otherwise, it's grit your teeth and go shopping in regular stores. I know there is a psychological barrier there - I used to get really self concious, then one year I was out at Christmas shopping for a blouse for my mother and realised I was not at all self conscious although I was doing just the same as shopping for myself.

Since I buy 99.9% of my stuff from e-bay, I acquired a PO Box about two years ago. It eliminates a lot of those questions... "What's in the box?" Stuff like that.... I personally haven't had much problem with people sending to a PO Box, you might want to try that, if it's an option.

www.figleaves.com

FigLeaves offer a service to deliver to the Post Office of your choice in the UK. I have used it a couple of times..discreet packaging and no problems..just follow their instructions. FigLeaves only deal in lingerie and nightwear...that's the draw back.
