View Full Version : Who Would You Be?

Let's pretend that you stumble across a machine that could turn you into any famous woman in the world. You can go back to any time in the past, even if she has passed, or simply stay in the present.

The machine will allow you to determine how long you want to live her life, but when you get back to the present, and you must come back, life has continued to move forward.

Who would you be?

What time period in her life would you want to live?

How long would you want to live her life?

For me: Loni Anderson - During all seasons of her WKRP in Cincinnatti days

Mama Cass, or Karen Carpenter. I'd try to do something to make things better so that they wouldn't die.

I don't know how long I'd need or even if I could do it.

Only toward the end of her career, though... unlike so many famous women today who start out hot, then kind of fizzle. No going out in a blaze of glory for them.

There's a theory that she was AIS inter-sex.

As for the machine, I'd be tempted to modify it to turn water into beer :drink:

Hmm that is a hard one. One from the past would be Marylin Monroe. Then I could find out if she really did sleep with President Kennedy.:o
But then there is Shania Twain. I just think she is absolutly goregeous. She has such a beautiful smile. Everything I have heard or seen about her she is just a beautiful, classy lady.:daydreaming:
As far as times a year or so would be fine

Carrie Underwood. She is gorgeous, talented and has access to a fabulous wardrobe and stylists. Music is one of my passions which is another big reason for wanting to be her. I would want to be her just after winning American Idol until forever.

I'll go with Shauna Grant (an early 70s porn star)...in her prime...for one whole delicious year.
She loved the human body...and she loved to orgasm...at the "hands" of a male, female, group, or self.
And was drop dead gorgeous besides....

Perfect!

You know I though about who I would like to be and I can't decide. Most of the famous beautiful women led tragic lives. I'd just settle for being a non famous beautiful woman so I could just roam freely without people looking at my every move.

first I thought Carrie Nation, but I like to drink. Then Amelia Bloomer cuz she started the whole Lingerie thing, but nah. Elinore Roosevelt looked too much like a guy in a dress and I already do that.

So Carole Lombard because she was pretty and I like the 40's and half of the people here will have to google her :) But any Pin-up will do.

As to why Marilyn slept with (both) Kennedys, money power and they were good looking guys. No question :) Too bad no one treated her like she deserved

Now in the modern day. Make me Christina Ricci.

OMG, don't tell me I haven't chimed in on this one. Lauren Graham, of course, the actress who plays the mom on the Gilmore Girls, no, not the grandmother, though she would be more age appropriate and is kind of a hotty herself. I mean the mom who looks so hot in that skirt and jacket in the opening credits. To me, she is just gorgeous, curvy and feminine, but smart and savvy, just enough of everything but not too much. Perfection. Uhh, damn, now I need a personal moment and a re-run.<g>

Hugs...Joni Marie

I have seen a lot of great picks here, and I can not stick with just one. Raquel Welch, even today she is hot, Katharine Hepburn, the lady simply defines class, and one I haven't seen here yet, Catherine Zeta Jones, beauty, style, sopisticated look, and said to be a nice person too...Stephanie

For me, it would probably be Grace Kelly when she was in her movie prime in the 1950's. Very successful, very beautiful, I love the clothes of that era and she was a real Princess to boot! ... as she married Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1956.

I would love your premise so much more if I didn't actually have to become the woman. Instead my consciousness would 'hitch a ride' alongside hers so I could not affect her thinking or change the decisions she made throughout her life and yet still live her life.

So, with that stipulation in mind and adding that I thought about this so hard and long that it hurt my brain, I'd have to say Abigail Adams, the second First Lady of the U.S. I think it would be fascinating to have her insights into John Adams thinking and the debates among the Founding Fathers during America's Revolutionary and Constitutional Periods. Further she was an advanced thinker herself, being an Anti Slavery proponent and an advocate for Womens Rights, long, long before these became movements in this country.

Altogether a marvelous woman!

I think Janis Joplin would be a great target for the "Being Jane Malkovich" moment. And 3 months would probably be all the music, emotion, alcohol and drugs I could tolerate, but it would be glorious for the time.

Today I would look at Cathrine Zeta-Jones, particularly if she were doing more singing and dancing.

I scrolled through the responses, hoping that no one else would have chosen Sophia Loren whom I have always admired and even longed for. But what I longed for was to BE her.
Although I would be delighted to be her for her whole life, I think that the time between when she was 30 and 50 would be my particular selection.

Raquel Welch...not even a close second. She was the hottest woman EVER!!! Not only that the last time I saw her she still put most women to shame...at almost 70 years old.

A distant second would be Brittney Spears. She was rated the #4 Hottest Woman Alive and if she didn't act like such an idiot for a while she would have not tainted her reputation. She is gorgeous, talented (great dancer and entertainer) and is doing pretty well financially too.

Kisses,

Everyone has such good answers to this one. I wish I could just choose one, but it's not possible to narrow it down that much.

For me, I'd have to choose Audrey Hepburn during her "Roman Holiday" through "Breakfast at Tiffany's" career period. Audrey was the definition of class and elegance and she just lit up the screen with her radiant charm.

Kate Beckinsale during her "Serendipity" through Click" career period. Kate is so glamorous yet sophisticated. She can be the vulnerable girly girl or the tough as nails woman.

Kylie Minogue during her "Light Years" through "Fever" career period. Kylie defined sex appeal. Her confidence and talent showed in her performances and costumes.

Catherine Bell during her stint on "JAG" Catherine was always so sexy in that Marine Corps uniform. Also her confidence was amazing, she could be the strong take down anyone Marine, yet still cry.

Shania Twain during her "Up!" tour. Shania was just perfect, her smile, her body, and wardrobe. She had the strength to overcome so much hardship and turn-out on top of the world.

Nicole Brown

Mama Cass, or Karen Carpenter.

Awesome choices! That such wonderful and beautiful talent was taken from us is such pointless ways . . .

Tough call really. Do you do the material thing and become a rich woman?
Do you do a vain thing and become a beautiful woman?
Do you go for things a little less obvious as Veronica suggests?

Maybe I'd be Paris Hilton, and listen up before you choke and spit your coffee on your monitor. I admire nothing about her. As far as I can tell, she is horribly vain (worse even than I am), horribly shallow, and pretty much a waste of skin and a drain on our oxygen supply. This is why I might borrow part of her life - to do something worth while with it. Despite my opinion of her character, I readily admit that she IS exceptionally attractive looking. So, I get to be hot, young, wealthy, and I would have the resources and clout of her family name. Unlike her, I would do something worth while with all of these blessings. Don't get me wrong, I'm no saint. I WOULD still live a extravagant life, I would still have a home, car, and wardrobe that would awe people, but I would also devote a good portion of my time and fortune to doing something worth while in the world rather than simply party my life away.
Bill Gates and his wife have a home in the Austin area, and they are well known for their generosity and philanthropist spirit. I would like to be like them.

Purely for looks and cuteness, I'd love to be Catherine Zeta-Jones. She is SO cute!

I always thought Anna Nichole Smith was a very beautiful woman even when she was heavy. I wish I had her body, but I would not want her brain or the peaple in her life, or any of the drama. I wish I could have rescued Anna from her destructive lifestyle and hanger-ons in her life.
If I were born a female, I would want to grow up to be a big beautiful woman with all the right proportions, beautiful face, and blonde hair.
