I'm a new member finding my way around the site. I.m keen to transition,i've tried a couple of times before in my early 20's and mid 30's. it didn't work out I was ridiculed in the street,my main problem is my size over 6ft and large build, very hairy apart from on my head.
I have a loving wife (who knows I want to be a woman) and 2 teenagers with their own issues!
I am very unhappy of my charade life as a man,I just drift from day to day.
I know I am more acceptable to society as a man, but desperate to transition

Hi Sally...or should i say twin sister.. I HEAR YOU!!!
I won't mince words though...it's a tough spot, and many here have been there.

i'm 6'2 - 3 yrs ago i weighed 240 lbs...very hairy, etc
my wife and i finally talked and she immediately wanted a divorce...i chose to take my responsibilty in the matter and we had no fight especially because we share custody of the kids..

Kids being my 2 teenage daughters with all their problems...

i started HRT last yr, got rid of all the body and facial hair (which took almost 2 years) and i am slowly starting my transition now..

I felt trapped, alone, angry, guilty, ashamed..i lost interest in work, the world, i saw no point in living....my only relief was smoking pot and taking anti depressants, but that only made it worse....

sound familiar? I called it day to day mode....i literally felt like every day was a battle (with myself) for survival...i didnt want to wake up, then i didnt want to eat, etc etc...

i finally got some help, met tg/cd/ts folks socially and will never forget my friend Karen that always says.ABMF>..always be moving forward.....even when you are knocked down..

i used that in my head over and over and i'm finally starting to reach my goals...

one idea i have that is very safe is to get that hairiness permanently removed with laser and electrolysis....this is "moving forward" and may releive some of your anxiety (moving forward)..also for some girls , just starting hormones has major positive effects...

bless you and keep talking -- there is lots of hard won experience around here.

welcome, youll find lots of support here. Youll also find that many have gone through or are going through the exact same problems you are facing. Look on the bright side being a glamazon means that you only get ridiculed from a distance and you can always hire out as a body gaurd for the rest of us, we can even get you a wonder woman/she-ra/xena costume which ever you prefer :wyla:.

We have all been in your shoes, some are in the exact same place you are and some are a step ahead or a step behind. Dont be afraid to seek the help/advice of anyone and please dont hesitate to offer your advice to those who seek it. We are all here to support one another.
