So what do you do for fun?

I have been interviewing with some companies looking for a new job. The other day I had a interview that I thought went really well. At the end of the interview the interviewer asked me "So what do you do for fun outside of work?" I paused for a moment and told him I play sports, -hockey, watch baseball, spend time with my wife, do household stuff- mow the lawn etc.

Afterwards, I had to laugh- if he only knew what I did ;)

I could just see it, I am there in my suit and tie "well for fun.... I wear panties and a bra and my forms. Then I put on my make up - always full make up with foundation, powder, shadow, liner, mascara, blush, lipliner and lipstick. Then I find a cute outfit- maybe a skirt and hose and a top, or some tight jeans and nice sweater. Heels and wig and finally jewelery to complete the look. I am sure that would have gone over real well LOL.

Let's see...I like to take pictures or just read something. Sitting somewhere and looking at people is fun as well. It just calms you down.

Anyway, most of the time when I want to do some fun I start taking pictures. Sometimes I end up playing computer or video games instead. It really depends of the mood I'm in at the moment. So far taking pictures, as long as there is something nice to take pictures of, hasn't let me down. When I first start taking pictures I can keep going for god knows how long. On some occasions I won't stop until the whole memory card is full, and that means I've taken over 1300 pictures.

I so agree, girl. It's too bad we can't just say, "Oh, I enjoy flyfishing, chess, reading and crossdressing." Of course, you never know, maybe he was wearing something frilly under his suit, too.

Maybe if one of your interviews goes really badly, you have no chance at the job and the interviewer asks the 'what do you do for fun' question you can give him/her the answer you just gave us. Wouldn't that be fun.

Yeah wouldn't it be a blast to say....Fishing, Camping, Painting my nails,etc! I do have one fun (strange to most) thing, my wife and I along with the kids and a few other friends love to play in the mud! The deeper the better, you should have seen the look on one of our GG friends face the first time she went with us, I pulled off my jeans (gym shorts under them) and my shoes, smooth legs and red nails! I thought she already knew, oh well she thought it was cool!

LOL I actually had two interviews on Friday. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. The one I described above was the afternoon one. The morning one I totally didn't like the lady I would be working for and walked out there going "no way am I taking this job" It didn't go badly, but after meeting with them, I knew right away my interest went from really high to below zero. They never asked what I like to do for fun, so I didn't have the chance, it would have been an interesting answer.

I make sure I'm completely numb with alcohol at this point to avoid any unnecessary pains from the head rush of oxygen deprivation.

"Of course, I always have a little trouble during the next part, where I'm supposed to be thrown into a vat of bacon mayonnaise, almond milk, and Jell-o brand tapioca pudding. Fortunately, there's this guy who lives next door with his mother who helps me with that. Strong as an ox but touched in the head, sweetest kid you'd ever wanna know. He gets some pretty good hang-time on me.

"Anyway, after that, I roll around in the mayonnaise mixture, or 'Splunga' as I've come to call it, for about a half an hour until I'm nice and coated. I then lay out in the sun until it dries on my body like a cast, after which I hurl myself into traffic to see how many times I can get run over before my lungs collapse.

On Friday afternoon we normally have a chat in the office about what we are doing at the weekend. Gardening, shopping, out with some mates, out for a meal often come up.

How can I possibly say that I'm going away for the weekend, in about four hours time I will be dressed to kill, meet some friends in the pub then go clubbing. On Saturday I will shop until I drop looking for cheap glam clothes and bling. I will receive loads of comments, some complimentary, some certainly not! Back to change into something dead sexy then off clubbing again.

And on Sunday stay in the village and meet up with my best friends for plenty of beers and loads of chat. I will survive until the early evening then go home and prepare for Sunday morning.

I may pick up a bloke on the way, I may not. I may get bitchy on the way, I may not.

But how can I possibly say that on a Friday afternoon at work? Fun, I don't do it :)
