As many of you know, I have been coming out to family and friends as I get ready to start my RLT and transition. As before I have been reaching out and making sure those close to me know so the day I go full time there will not be the shock of WTH is going on. Anyway I met with my youngest brother and his wife for supper and explained where I am going and why. They were surprised but figured something was up so they took the news fairly well and then last night I met with another brother's wife. My brother works a rotating shift so he was not able to be here but his wife was so supportive and she and I yalked for a hour.

My oldest daughter e-mailed with concerns of how fast this seems to be progressing but I reassured her that it seems to be fast but that is because of the time she has known where as for me it has been a life time. I think as time she will see this differently but it will take time.

So for the time being there has been support and concerns by thosewho have heard the news, rightfully so. If I was to say anything to someone deciding this is your destiny, don't hurry through it and remember those close are going to go through a lot of emotions and changes in their lives also.

Thank you all for your help and support. Huggs Teri

All the best! I like your idea to break the news slowly especially if you plan to make a huge life change.

I have been fortunate in that I have been given a lot of support from sisters here as well as family and friends. Although there are those who for their own reasons cannot come to grips with this life change there has been mostly support. So the days are getting closer to starting my RLE and the coming out to so many including neighbors has given me confidence to be myself. Thank you all.

thanks for the update Teri, I am glad all is going well with you so far

and thanks also for saying that, sometimes the friends and relatives get forgotten, or their feelings discarded in so many ways as we reach (or our partners reach)for themselves
