View Full Version : Communicating Fear...

As you may have read from another thread, my SO and I are in the middle of this new discovery phase of our relationship, where she is discovering who I am inside, and I am discovering the true dominant side of her. She LOVES discovering these new keys to my brain, and I love giving them to her.

Yet, there are still these strong self-protective fears that we are both working to resolve.

For example, today, I bought something because I have always liked it, had my eye on it, but was too scared to buy because I was afraid it would reveal to her that I liked the color pink, or that it seemed silly for a male to buy.

Yet, when I brought it home, she nodded and smiled and knew exactly why I had bought it.

Trust me, this was just a little thing. But to me, her small acceptance is a big thing.

How do we communicate these little fears? Or is it that we just have to move through them and let reality show us how silly the really are?
