The current Laundry thread does not address on problem that may or may not be serious to us. It is however serious to closet practicers.

Have you left something in the machine ? Never ? That is hard to believe. You surely did and found it when you checked to be sure. But someone must have left something in and failed to check.

Oh that?

That's just my mini skirt.

I left it in the machine by mistake.

I had forgotten that the night before my mother was coming in to town I had washed my pantyhose and hung them up to dry. Yep, see saw them, and I came up with the lamest excuse (get ready) I told her that I washed them so I could give them the goodwill. Nothing else has been said since.

Another time I had thrown some of my panties in with some of my guy shirts into the dryer. Again my mother, being a good mother, had opened the dryer door because she said " it smelled hot" . I know she saw my panties in there, kinda hard to miss pinks and blue floral print. And again nothing has been said.

Never because I hand wash some of my delicates. However, about a half a year ago, my wife accused me of using the washing machine.
Seems she would go to use it and the setting would be on delicates. I had to tell her that I did not touch the dial or the machine. This happened several times and I could honestly say that I didn't touch it. I wish I had because it was driving her crazy trying to figure out how the dial got that way.
It bothered me, too, because I knew I didn't do it and there is nobody else at home to do it.
BTW, if I did leave something in the machine I don't think she would have minded because it would have saved her some work as she washes my things.

every time something of mine disapears i can count on the fact i left it in my clothes and the wife did laundry...

she has accepted the panties as normal so they no longer disapear, but my bras and skirts seem to walk away every time she does my laundry...

I almost got busted this week and last; last week I washed a white blouse and hung it in the back yard to dry. I forgot about it until the wife got home from work. She walked down the stairs to the family room where the blouse can be seen and I jumped up and closed the drapes to show her something on the TV. It's a plasma, so the TV can be seen better in low-light conditions. This week I changed into my PJ's, taking off my Victoria Secret bikini underwear, and tossed them unwittingly into the clothes hamper. She followed shortly after and tossed her clothes into the same hamper. I came back and found my underwear under her clothes. I cringed and placed them in their regular place. That was close! Too close.

Roberta -- Kind of. My wife wants her washing machine to last longer than my power tools do. Actually, I do help with the laundry. Notice that I said help with.

I just love the

"are these yours"

as my wife holds up my black panties.

"yes and there are many more " was my answer.

I do all the laundry in our house and I feel the same way about my wife using our washer and dryer.

Machine?!?!? There's a machine for laundry??

Doing the laundry's not so much a problem. Finding it after, that's harder. The housekeeper is forever putting my panties in my wife's drawer...

Are you forbidden to use the washing machine?

In my younger days, yes. Forbidden to cook and clean too. When I moved out of the folk's home... takeout was my second name. And third, come to think.

Yep, an occasional pair of panties or maybe a bra, but nothing big and outstanding!

My wife does all my laundy....girl and boy clothes. She folds them and puts them all away too. She is a wonderful woman!

No problem here with my wife. But -- when I was a teenager and living at home ... what a mess!

So, I figured out a way to get my panties washed and not arouse suspicion -- oh and pick up a new skill. I would buy Jockey Elance brand bikini panties -- cotton -- that strongly resembled the Jockey Elance Men's Bikini Briefs. The cut was more bikini-ish for the panties and the colours more pastel, but by doing one little trick, I negated the differnce. See, I also bought the men's style, and then after removing the size tags from the panties, sewed the tags from the men briefs into them. My mum never knew the difference.

Time passed, I moved out and didn't after to worry about this until I married my first wife, a.k.a. the wicked witch of the west spelled with a B. She saw right through this ruse, and I denied everything! This worked right up to our separation and subsequent divorce 6 months later for non-CD-ing reasons, rather at my request.

Of course now that I am married to the greatest woman in the world, our panties and bras make for a happy melange of colour as the turn in the washer or flap on the line outside on a sunny day!

It's always fun when doing the laundry for 3 (4) girls and your wife holds up panties and asks if they are your daughters and they both say "not mine."

I often wonder what the neighbours think if they look at our clothes line and see 25+ pairs of knickers (mine & hers) that my wife:love: puts out
with the weekly washing with no man pants to be seen:heehee:

Girls, buy yourself a lingerie bag for laundry. I keep all my panties and bras there after wearing them, then toss the bag into the washer and they won't get left behind.

Never got caught by the wife as she knew I wore bras, panties, etc.Although one time I was using the public laundry room and didnt get back up in time tp switch my clothes from the washer to the dryer before another user showed up to do her laundry. The lady had taken my guy clothes and put them in the dryer for me but said she wasnt sure the panties,bras,short/short and skirts were mine so she left them.I told her that it was all mine. Not a word was said.

Did it last week.My wife knows about the dressing but doesnt want to see anything,I did some wash and left panties in the dryer unknowingly. She found them put them in my drawer, no problem, I thanked and nothing more was said.

I've occasionally forgotten and left stuff in the washing machine. All that happened is it came out a bit more creased than usual apart from once many years ago when I accidentally left a sock in there and then did a batch of whites which came with a creamish tint

Not in a laundry room, but this is kinda related. When I was single and living in NY state, the landlords let themselves in my apartment while I was at work. Problem was I had a lot of Josie's clothes laying on my bed, wig hanging on the doorknob...makeup on the counter, etc.

I come home, they are still there, the landlord's wife is giggling...nothing really to do about it but go with it...

I don't know how that lipstick got in the washer. Are you sure it's not yours.

I washed some of my panties with my clothes, dried them, and when I came down to get my clothes out of the dryer my mom was pulling them out one article of clothing at a time, so I knew it was inevitable. I stood up against the wall and chatted with her about how her day was and when she pulled out a black thong she did what any caring, subtle mother would. She raised her voice as loud as she could so my brother and dad could hear and asked, "Whose thong is THIS?" and held it out so they could see down the hallway and shrug that it wasn't theirs. I snatched it from her and said in a calm voice, "If you won't respect me, then don't expect any in return." and got the rest of the clothes out of the dryer myself and went back up to my room. She came up and apologized very sincerely about half an hour later, but I'm glad that I handled it so straight faced despite the enormous amount of embarrassment I felt.

I put my clothes in the machines at the apartments and go back to the place. When I come back it's full. Some impatient guy takes my whites out right in front of me since I'm not moving fast enough. I always throw a sheet in with them for camouflage but here he's putting them in piece by piece. Laugh, pretty awkward for me. He looked more nervous than me which made it easier but still.

I came home from work today to find:

All my girl clothes washed and folded very neatly and a brand new cincher and a pretty pair of house shoes that she bought for me. (Of course she made me try them on immediately!)

AND a warm hug with the smells of dinner filling the air!

My wife tells me most women jump to conclusions about us girls and they freak out because of their fears. I think we need to spend more time loving them and reassuring them. If their confidence is high about their own relationship security and have no risk of shame, we have a better chance of having both - our CD lifestyle and our marraiges.

It seems like none of you wash anything other than underwear and other pretty essential thing.
Therefore, it seems inevitable that nobody ever presses their skirts and leaves something ontheironing board...or do you ?

My wife and daughter who lives here both know who belongs to which underwear. No secrets in this house!

Sam-antha, yes I have everything (not just underwear) and wash it all myself. My daughter has innocently absconded with some of my pairs of socks (she doesn't know I dress - well she might have figured it out), and I've not had the chance to steal them back, lol! I have to be very careful, and if I can't fold and put away all my clothes I wrap them in a blanket on the bed so it just looks like I've washed some linens. When I moved, I counted up all my clothes, and it turns out I am about 50-50 in male vs female clothing. I have just as many male as female pants, and the same with shirts and blouses. But, seeing as you're from Scotland, I do have to say I don't have the same number of kilts as I have skirts, as I have no kilts! :)

Hugs,
Ann

Sam-antha,
Studies report that people rate the fear of dying equal to the fear of public speaking. My fear is leaving one of my bra or panty items in the washer or dryer. I have been known to U turn and drive 10 miles, back home, to check the washer or dryer for that small fem item left behind. Throw the tumbler around one more time! I have been known to retrace my steps 2 times to make sure that small fem item of clothing did not fall out of my pile in my hands as I put it away. I would die if my wife lifted up one of my bras in my face, asking if it was mine!
I’ve always thought of contributing a post with the title: “CD veterans tell us how you almost got caught”. It’s the small things: lipstick on the water bottle still in the car, last night’s fake finger nails on the floor of the car, CD photos in the sent file, paperless credit card statements showing purchases for Clinique, etc.
Love,
Stephanie :)

I am the Laundress in our house. With four kids there is plenty to do and my wife has always been appreciative of it. I finally got caught and came out to my better half when she went to pick up the dry cleaning and they had three dresses that I had dropped of that were not hers.
I probably could have come up with a good fib, but I owed it to her to come clean (no pun intended), and I was tired of shoving my pretty clothes in a footlocker.

Right, some of us have gone ack home to put away that item that they had left out.
Now how many of us have gone back home to put away the thing that they thought they had left out.
You surely know that was the very time that it had not been left out.
