I will not mention specifics, because I believe I am not violating the rules on politics if I do not. But I had the most accepting weekend I've ever had.

I went to a political convention in Newark, NJ. I was seated as a female delegate, no one challenged it and they're obsessed with gender balance. I was then elected as a female member of the national committee. The whole time, everyone was very accepting, had some long conversations with people on it, and not only used the ladies room, but was advised on legal defenses to using it while crossdressed.

Yay you! It's awesome that you went and did your thing as a female; and it's encouraging that you were so well received. :)

this is good news, and to those with whom you will be working, I am sure you will be a huge asset :)

it's very encouraging. When I picked up the hotel room, the guy didn't bat an eye, very professional. I am the only transgender there, but there have been some in the past at least at the convention - and the great thing is that they think I'm an asset, as you say.

Congratulations Veronica! I hope you will be an effective advocate for transgender issues. I assume you are a member of the party whose mascot is not an elephant.

I also went about New York City today, en femme, spoke to officers of the law and everything without any issue, looking like I'm passing.
