I just moved a little north of Texakana. Beautiful area and everyone is extreamly nice (yet to meet Jess). Anyway I got my letters signed for hormones, but I can't seem to find any trans site that will list a doctor closer than Houston (4 hours away or so). I am considering opeing up the phone book and giving OB/GYN, endos, and women's clinics a call and seeing what they have to say, but I would really would prefer a doc with experiance in trans HRT. Dallas and Shreiveport (sp?) are not too far away so the trip would be worth it being how it would only be a handful of times a year. And maybe after the initial tests he/she could refer me to someone closer who is not trans savy. Just hopeing somone in the area had a solution.

We seem to have a huge hole in the therapist/endo/etc... spectrum for the OK/TX/AR area.

Apparently Oklahoma's Planned Parenthood is offering TG health care services now, but that doesn't help you as it'd likely be easier to drive to Dallas.

:/

I'd be willing to check it out. Broken Bow, OK is like 45min away. Thanks

I can't find a site purely dedicated to eastern OK and AR, but that may be your best bet. For sure the Central OK one has resources (can refer to therapists, and can apparently provide hormone treatments), but without a site for the EastOK and AR I can't make any definite claims.

It may be beneficial to just check the PP site yourself and find what's closest for you:

Planned Parenthood does advertise TG services in some clinics but I don't believe it's for hormone treatments just general checkups.

My mom is from Atlanta, TX which is right near you. I can't imagine finding a good TG experienced doctor in that area.

I'm simply going by this quote:
"Our LGBT services include
...
hormonal treatments for transgender clients
..."

At the least, they can probably refer you to an experienced endo if you find a PP center with LGBT resources.
