Drove my ute around the block a few nights ago while dressed, for the first time.
I noticed that i was much more cautious, maybe because I was dressed, and didnt want a misshap. I stopped at a intersection and had time to turn infront of an approaching car, but i waited. it occured to me that Im a better driver when dressed.
Any one else noticed this?

I agree about being extra careful. But sometimes I get distracted by sweeping hair out of my eyes and other girl things that are out of the ordinary for me.

I to find myself adjusting my hair & make up & all just like most woman do but I also find I drive completely different than when I was male. Ex. two hands on the wheel now, don't speed or weave in & out . I know these are neither male or female but I do see them as this could be how a mom would drive with her children, or in my case grand children. thats my:2c:.

Hugs all,
Janelle

I find I'm more calm while driving and thus more observant and careful. I don't think it has as much to do with being picked up for speeding or other infractions but it has more to do with my mental state. Teri

i agree !! waving hair out of the way is the only major problem , and yes i drive more carefully.

i am not too worried about getting stopped, thats just a little embaracement , but the thought of ending up in a traffic accident and ending up in hospital ,thats another thing,

Shame on me :(

Most I've ever done driving was just being underdressed and only on two occassions. But, I did find myself much more cautious while driving to avoid any mishaps.

Absolutely more careful, I go into full defensive driving mode. No tailgating, signal all turns, wear my seatbelt and let other drivers do stupid things.

Drivers can see my middle finger a lot better when the nail is painted bright red,

Melanieee, as I would have to admit that I am a much more cautious driver when dressed.
I'm also aware that I am being "checked out" by the male drivers around me, especially when in "blonde mode" which I think many of us are guilty of when dressed in drabbe.:o

I do tend to dribe slower enfemme.. And I finally figured out why.. Not because I don't want to get stopped.. But the slower I drive the longer the journey and the longer the time I can remain enfemme..

I try to drive careful, but it is so much fun. And sometimes I have to have the mirror adjusted so I can see my femmy self--and use the side mirrors on my pickup.
And last week (what are the chances?), my wife passed me going the other way. I was wearing a short red wig and makeup, sweater, forms, jeans and tall brown leather boots with slender 3 inch heels. I didn't notice her car, but I got an irate cell phone call 2 minutes later. Sheesh!

I remember driving dressed to a support group meeting. I lived in this apartment complex with a "community garage". We all had our own stalls but there was one hallway in the apartment building that went to them. It was kind of a "boonies" town (near Corning, NY) and I was still getting used to going out. I was going to drive to my support group meeting "under cover of darkness" but I had to negotiate that hallway first.

Long story short, I get down the hallway without incident, get in my car, and start driving to the meeting. I get about 3 miles down the road and notice it's kinda tough to see the road. It turns out I've had the interior cab light on the whole time.

So, for all my concern about being seen, Josie was pretty much on well-illuminated display while driving out of my apartments and through town

No dire consequences, just an "oh shit" moment.

I agree with all of the above. Plus, I don't use "manumatic", tend to move the seat closer to the steering wheel, and give what I hope are feminine waves to courteous drivers. And I LOVE to wear my big femmy sunglasses!

Don't you think there would be far fewer accidents if guys let their femme side help at the wheel???

I agree, seem to drive more cautiously when dressed myself. part of it is not wanting to get pulled over, the other part I would agree with Karren, longer journey enfemme

Yes, there is a difference. I like to think that I'm a fairly safe and cautious driver anyway, but in girl mode I do drive slower and I'm more patient. When dressed, the last thing I want to have happen is some kind of incident or get stopped by the police for speeding.

You mean to tell me its ok to use your middle finger as a lady?? I always thought good girls never did that. I mean look at my sister Tamara, she does it all the time & I have heard anyone say shes a good girl.

Hugs,
Janelle

Since I am almost always dressed at least part of the day, I drive dressed a whole lot. But, since I am presenting as a guy in a skirt maybe it doesn't count. I have been driving for over 60 years and in that time I have had 3 accidents where no one else was at fault. However, in all 3 accidents the cause was vehicle malfunction. In two cases a steering arm broke, causing the accident to my car only. In the other, somethingt in the transmission failed and caused the car to lurch forward into the car ahead of me just as the light turned green. I had not even touched the gas pedal! Ford Motor company paid the repair costs for both cars! So I think I am a pretty safe driver, even if I do tend to drive fast!!

I will go with Karren's idea of making the trip last!

Whip out that cellphone, and drive 10 miles below the speed limit, while tapping your brakes all the way down the road, and you're sure to pass.:D

I noticed that too about my driving. I'm already a very cautious driver, though, so it rather mystifies me at times. But now that I'm here in OC, I am finding I am too cheap to drive like they do here anyway. I noticed here they stomp on the gas when the light turns green and race to the next intersection at 50mph, and then screech to a stop at the next light a couple blocks later. I just drive on the right and meander down the road at 30 or so and catch up at each light. Must drive them all nuts, but I use far less gas, I'm sure.

Hugs,
Ann

Well, at first, yes, but after going out dressed quite often my overall driving habits have improved. It seems as if Cheryl is doing most of the driving these days while the drab part of me is just tagging along.
