View Full Version : NE Indiana Tri-Ess/T.O.N.I.?

Here in NC Indiana the closest Tri-Ess chapters are Lansing MI and Chicago, both pretty much out of reach for me in an evening. I have heard there is something for us in Portage, Indiana called Transgendered Outreach of Northern Indiana, or T.O.N.I. The information I've been able to find on the Web is a dead end, though. I found one phone number that has been disconnected, another that has a woman's voice mail on it, I left a message but no replies, and when I call it it goes to voice mail on the first ring so I know she hasn't been checking it. I also found an e-mail address that I sent a message to that hasn't come back undeliverable, but no reply either.

Anybody know anything about this? I'd love some company to talk to and share with in the area.

I used to live in Valpo and I was a member of TONI, we disbanded the group last year because of problems from a few of the members.

Is Indianapolis close enough for you? There's no tri-ess chapter, but there is IXE (http://ixe-in.org/).

Hi Tracy,

Sorry to say that after T.O.N.I. disappeared that left northern Indiana pretty bare. They have tried starting a group in South Bend a number of times but it never got off the ground.

IXE (I'm a member) is in Indy and they are starting a TS group in Bloomington. There is also an M2F group called Indygirls in Indy. They meet some hours before us on the 4th Saturday of the month at our local JMCC. :tongueout
