For dressing that is..

Okay, since this was going to be my first day out dressed for Halloween, I had decided not on a scary costume. So, I was off to the costume store with my daughter to get a preview of the selections. :daydreaming: I would have to return since even though my daughter knows, she is not ready to accept it all..yet.

Saw a few and so I returned the next day to be saddened that my first choice was out and so were a few others of choice. So I opted for a ‘beer maiden’ (think that was the name) costume, which the girl at the register jokingly said “oh, you got the last one in a large size, I was going to put it under for me” Well for a sec I felt bad since it was for me and not a gg. Okay, got over that and departed for home. :D

Tried it on at home (no I didn’t try it on since the surroundings didn’t fit the attempt) and the size was fine but just didn’t feel right.

So next day, decided to try the mall, which led me to Hot Topic.. wasn’t going to do the gothic thing, more so wanted a school girl look. As I looked at the selections, most of the brighter color skirts didn’t have matching tops. So I found a top that I loved and the matching skirt, even though they were black. The SAs (one fem, one male) were helpful but, of course, was under the impression it was for the ‘her’ in my life instead of me. So grabbed stockings, necklace and earrings. I was happy with the purchases. :D

At home, once again it was time to try on.. skirt was perfect sized. The top..not so.. it was a medium that looked big enough at the store. Was I wrong!:Angry3:

So back to the store for another try at finding the right size..and wouldn’t you know it, none on hand in L size. So a new SA (fem) looked in the computer for other stores. Yep, an L located at a mall across town near the airport (where I HAD just came from), so she calls to hold for me. She noticed the computer said this store had an XL on hand. I asked to see it..so off we looked with no luck.. she looked up and down and in the back..no luck..dang.. I really didn’t want to drive across town.. but the tops match due to safety pins attached, etc.

She had cloth gloves on and I asked if she had those to match the stocking I had bought the day before, ‘yep, we do’. So I decided to buy those and some black and red nail polish.
So I’m at the register to pay and then the dreaded drive. She started to bag my items into a larger bag and would you believe it “Here is the XL on the counter”. I gave it a good look to see if it would fit or drive for the L. She asked “do you think it will fit her..or.. is this for you????”

Hmmm decision time..’yes, its for me’.. SA: “do you want to try it on to be sure?”
I smiled big and said “yes and…THANK YOU!!!” :daydreaming:

I had to wait almost 20 minutes since a GG was trying her outfit on.. couldn’t believe she took that long..:D ..ok..just kidding.
I grabbed a guy shirt since males were around..and off I went to try. It was just right..

So out the door I went, happy as can be.. for both buying the right outfit and for someone being accepting. I will be making a trip back for more outfits and to really thank her for making this Halloween special.:daydreaming::daydreaming:

Thank you for reading this, hope it didn’t bore you.. but something I wanted to share and hope that others will take that step to enjoy life as they see fit.

I posted a pic on the Big Halloween Thread and my profile.

Hugs,
