Tristin, not sure where to post this!

I had my annual phycical last week. One of my breasts had been tender and sore for close to two months. I have never take hormones or any other thing to enlarge or anyway that would affect them. The doctor said if the soreness didn't go away soon he wanted me to have a mamogram.

Have any of you girls ever had to have a mamogram? How do they do it on a man?

My breasts get sore quite often but thats because Bunny likes to.... Oops wrong forum. :D

The great RN Bunny says that a mamogram for men is done the same way as for women. They will pull and stretch the breast out in between two hard metal plates which are then squeezed. The xray is then taken. It will be painful. Thus why women only go once a year. The X-ray takes a picture of the glands of the breast and the lymph nodes under the armpit.

Take this very seriously Vivian. Breast cancer does affect men also. It is not reported as often because men find it embarassing but it is as common. If the doctor says to get it done, do it.

What Charlene said. Don't hesitate. Breast cancer can spread quickly
