Not sure what pocket your friend is referring to ? As for whether you could develop natural looking breasts, in a word: yes. BUT it depends on a lot of things ( which drugs, how you react to them, your genetic history, luck, etc). Another BUT, getting breasts is part of what *may* happen with HRT, but you surely do not want to go on hormones just to get boobies.

Both men and women have the same breast tissues, they just develop differently at a certain point in life.

I have seen very natural looking breasts that came from the changes induced by HRT. Including very normal, female nipples etc... For that matter, I have also seen natural looking implants ... YMMV. I think a lot of implants are too large and that contributes to them looking fake.

HRT is Hormone Replacement Therapy. And it is not for the feint of heart. It will change the way your body looks, for sure, including growing breasts (to some extent) and it will rewire your brain. It will also make you impotent, and sterile. If you are serious, HRT is what you are looking for, but it is not a snap decision, and it is not for you if you are not sure. Also - there are no guarantees, but there are significant risks... and none of it is reversible.

There aren't a whole lot of choices out there. HRT or augmentation. The majority say that herbals don't work. I haven't a clue so I won't comment on herbals. I have implants and they look very natural. Not like I have a couple of softballs sewn under my skin.Don't know what else to tell you.

Herbals are a big crap-shoot: even the best of them work very inconsistently (across different patients) in producing breast tissue. Herbals have fairly high risks: unless you buy the herbs yourself, you never know what is in the mix you are buying (and it might vary from batch to batch) -- and the herbs that are the most likely to produce breast tissue have quite large chances of producing blood clots and liver damage when taken in quantities high enough to have some effect.

To make an analogy: using herbals is like deliberately exposing yourself to the herpes simplexes in the hopes that you will come out of it all with just enough Bell's Palsy to freeze your cheek muscles into a sort of face lift and have no other side effects (and not be contagious). It's not that it never happens to anyone, but there are much safer and surer options.

As I mentioned earlier.. I have no idea what herbals will or won't do. Never had an interest in finding out.So I will defer to those more knowledgeable on the subject.

ok ... I think you ought to start by doing a bunch of reading, here and on other sites with TG information. You will need to know a lot more before you can even consider the idea of transition. From what I can tell ( and I could be very wrong ) the breasts are the big deal. There just isn't an easy way to get "just breasts" that are natural. It's the whole package or none. You said you shy away from investigating, problem is that you cannot do that. For you own safety and good decision making, you need to learn.

Really, if you search around this site you'll find everything you need. If you want one where it is more specific to TS and transition you might try:

there are others of course...

Good luck !

Hi Myojine

Please don't try to self-medicate. Hormones carry significant medical risks, including blood clots, liver malfunctions, and others, all of which can be fatal if HRT is not supervised by a doctor and preferably a specialist.

You'll need a letter from a psychiatrist or gender specialist for the go-ahead for HRT.

Please stay safe.

At pre-puberty the male and female breast has 0 differance. Hormones at puberty create a change. MtF trans who start estrogen will have the exact effect on the breast as a genetic female. however, the estrogen receptors in the breast will become less responsive to estrogen the longer the indivudual has developed from the onset of puberty. In your teens to very early 20s your development can be expected to phase through the 5 of 6 tanner stages. 6 only being obtained following pregnancy. Often times women who start hormones in their 30s and up will only progess to tanner 3 or 4 and tubular breasts are developed... thus many trans women in order to have a natural breast shape will opt for implants. but the basic breast structue is exactly the same no matter the sex your friend either said that out of ignorance or wanted to seperate herself from trans for what ever reason. My guess is ignorance. hope that helps you.
