i was wondering if any of you listen to music and what kind of genera while cross dressing. since dressing is also a form of relaxation for me just as music is i wonder how many of you enjoy your femininity while listening to some of your favorite tunes?

Although runing an electronics shop is not dirty work, it is very tiring.

To relax after hours, I shower, slip into one of my extra femme vintage peignoirs, spritz on some "Sunflower" and put on Yanni, Kiatro, Andre Rieu or the like and just zone out.

Add some butterscotch schnapps and I am one step this side of heaven.

I always gravitate to girl singers, and that ranges from Chrissie Hines and Annie Lenox to Cher and Pink.

All the time ! I go dancing a lot when out dressed. As for what kind/who, it varies.

My theme song goes a little like this:

... she had rings on her fingers and bells on her shoes
I knew without askin' she was into the blues
She wore Scarlet Begonias tucked into her curls
I knew without asking she was not like other girls, other girls...

I love to sit in a bubble bath and listen to Abba, Cher and several others. I find it relaxing.

I'm not so sure dressing (or not) has anything to do with what I listen to, tho it might parallel it in what I'm doing.

Musical choices are vast... In jazz, everything from Louie and Ella, Billie, Bill Evans, and "cool jazz" to/thru ECM catalogue with Keith Jarrett in frequent rotation.

Rock: everything from Buddy Holly to now. Currently, Iron and Wine, Neko Case, early Cowboy Junkies (White's Off Earth Now is a long favorite) and Rosie Thomas are in heavy rotation.

Classical: Early "modernists" on piano, esp Satie and Mompou.

Musical choices are always about "mood" and what needs to be heard emotionally.

For me music and crossdressing go hand to hand all the time. my tastes varies from a good female voice like Annie Lennox or kate Busch to a male crooner like Micheal Buble or Rod Stewart singing romantic songs sometimes even a dance song gets me in the mood to dress:hugs:

I find Smooth Jazz to be very relaxing and helping me put my girl on. My favorite right now is Mindi Abair.

Back in my closet days I always used to put on music by female vocalist and lip sync as I danced around the room. It seems funny to me now, but earlier this year I ended up a finalist in a drag contest, so it payed off.

I often do Karaoke en femme as well, but I usually sing male vocals, usually Bob Dylan.

Sometimes, when I listen to music, I imagine I’m in a group of some sort (depending on what I’m listening to). I’m a crossdresser/androgyne, a successful performer who can pull off passability in public with complete aplomb, even being recognized and revered as such – Like Michael Stipe, for example, but turn it up all the way until I’m a girl with a boy’s voice, or a boy in a dress on a stage, performing with others. This fantasy is so enrapturing that I sometimes fail to hear the music after a while, but, since I’m invariably dressed up while listening to my favorite music, it’s very easy to “make the jump,” as it were…:battingeyelashes:

Whatever they have on is usually FINE with Sherry. :)

Whether it be: Bach, Wagner, Debucy, Tschaikovski, or Chopin.
As long as it's CLASSICAL!

Doesn't matter if dressed or not, I listen to the same angry grunge music of the 90s.

k.d.lang 'Invincible Summer' is where I would start, but from there it may go just about anywhere from Classical or Jazz to Rock or country. Anything but gangster rap.

My current favourite crossdressing songs are:

- "Caught somewhere in Time" by Iron Maiden (always reminds me of crossdressing for some strange reason)
- "Tigerlilly" by La Roux
- "Je Ne Regrette Rien" by Edith Piaf
- "Why'd you come in here looking like that" by Jill Johnson
