Greetings to all. My name is Aleshia. I'll update my profile with a picture after writing this. I've read a few threads here over the years but never posted that I can remember. I should say right up front that I probably would be categorized as a transvestite.
I first dressed at 4; all I can remember about that is being discovered by my mom while she was having a bunch of girlfriends over, then her laughing and dragging me into the room. To much mirth. I broke away and hid. Never thought about it again until puberty; then one day I discovered a hairpiece in my mom's closet and suddenly had the urge to put on the hair, some makeup, and masturbate while looking in the mirror.
Afterwards, I was quite ashamed. Years went by, I got married, and then one day in a costume shop I saw some wigs and the urge came back. I got some things together and pretty much did the same thing, keeping everything hidden in the suspended ceiling in our basement, until sheer nervousness made me throw everything away.
Flash forward to the present. I'm divorced. I still identify as straight, but I've been on a few ******* forums for about five years, hired an absolutely gorgeous South American transsexual for an evening of amazing bliss, and this fall have been gathering up the most complete set of femme stuff yet.
So...on to my question. I have a pair of breast forms from the Breastform Store. Size 10's, teardrop shaped. Also Hollister medical adhesive and remover. Worn them a couple of times and am very pleased with the feel, and the fact that they warm up...mmm. But I hate the edges. I know there has to be a trick to making them look much more realistic. I purchased some flesh colored liquid latex, but doubt that will achieve the look I want. I want nothing less than to look convincing naked, or at least under a mesh bodysuit. I'm already thinking that perhaps I should have gone with the triangle shape, but a youtube video I saw said that teardrops allowed the most flexibility under clothes.
Last night I saw an admittedly cheesy porn clip where the girl had three breasts, Total Recall style. It looked realistic!
So I ask: has this ever been discussed? has anyone had success with this?
Thanks. It's great to be here. I have many questions, but this is the most important one to me at the moment.

Most realistic? There is a UK company with about a 7 month waiting list that makes made-to-measure prosthetics matched to your skin tone, for roughly 1500 UKP (dunno, $US2800-ish?). Personal visit to the factory for the proper fitting is advised.
There is the possibility of putting forms of your choice under femskin . I read that femskin is very realistic, but it is essentially a skin-tight stretchy silicone suit, and that means that it has to end somewhere, and you have to cover up the edge.
Naked... how naked? There are companies that make what are like bras that forms stick out of, with the weight partly being supported by straps that go around the back (like a long-line bra); some of those apparently can look pretty real, because they cover up all the edges; and because they are working with supports that go right to the back, they can distribute the mass more realistically than having to worry about one cup at a time. Disadvantages: taking off your "bra" removes the forms... and the supports reaching around the back are not like standard bra straps, so under anything sufficiently sheer (or with nothing on at all) it would be noticeable that something was up.
I can't post a link (rules), but you can look through the products made by Exsil.

I'm curious. Have you tried using the liquid latex at all (I assume it is one of the brands designed for body painting)? If you can get the latex's color to match your skin you may be able to do something close to what you want. The edges are the challenge, you can build up the latex using a sponge to apply it and build up in layers to hide the edges, but the latex becomes thick and doesn't quite flex like real skin so you may have some unusual wrinkles. The triangle forms are probably better because they are a closer match to real breasts. You can apply the latex all over the forms and your skin to get an even color. It is a messy and time consuming activity. The result is probably acceptable in a very dark light or under a mesh clothing.
If you have some good results, please share. I think there are a couple people around this forum who would like to know about it.

come to think of it, I do have one of those clear strap breast form bras, missing a strap or two. They're triangular. I should cut off the fasteners and experiment.
But, wow, the look of the breasts in the link I posted is so convincing. The article says the fx guy used eight colors to match the woman's skin tone exactly. I'd love to find out how that could be done...wonder if I could take my liquid latex down to the paint shop section of the local Home depot and ask them to mix me a batch!
The ultimate for those of us who care about being convincing part timers would of course be inflatable implants: Pump them up for nights out, release for Monday morning. I may as well add that of course, when deflated, they turn into awesome man pecs...

Go to the local dollar store and get yourself some primary colors of acrylic latex paint. Mix it to match your skin tone then mix in a few drops to the liquid latex. Experiment with it.

God, no. I want to step into this gender as convincingly as possible, but like an actor steps into a role.
Here's the thing: I love women and being with them. For me, the best way to accomplish this is to be the best man I can be.
However, there's also a wonderful world out there full of uninhibited people that aren't concerned with mainstream values.
The kinky community. I've seen this world, and would rather participate than simply watch.
I realize this is completely different than being some married guy that thinks he may be a transsexual. Each to their own.
The bottom line is, no, I'm not interested in putting hormones in my body.

Are you saying makeup will hide the edges of breast forms?
That would be good information. I haven't tried it yet, so I'm not even certain that makeup would adhere to them. I imagine there would need to be some kind of sealant over the makeup, which could result in a big old mess or even permanent stain.

Liquid latex is ammonia based and kind of strong at that. Not sure how the breast forms will react to it. Even the skin toned latex isn't very realistic. It would need make up on top to match your natural skin tone. It's cheap enough to experiment with but it does take a long time to dry despite what the instructions say.

Yes! I tried that YEARS ago! Glued on the forms. Slathered the makeup on them, and over my entire chest!
And, to answer your question, Aleshia, it DIDN'T hide the edges as I hoped it would! And it WAS a big mess!
I washed it rite off, and NEVER tried that again!
No permanent stains, tho!:D

I use the lightest pals forms Then i use air brush legs (a spray on) on my chest or whole body to make my skin match the forms tent. to hard for me to tent the forms to my skin so tent the skin instead. glue the forms on the edge to help. not perfect but not bad in low light like in a club.
(see the pink bunny in the big Halloween thread)

There's at least one custom mastectomy forms seller in Toronto. I found it with Canada411, an online version of the Yellow Pages (business telephone book for those outside North America). Chances are good there are others in cities with population of over 2,000,000 people.

While may be possible to succeed in your quest, you are chsing a very elusive illusions. The camera hides and softens flaws that many times are very obvious to the naked eye.
However, continue the journey with my best wishes for success. Chasing the look we wish to achieve as one of the joys of the lifestyle.
