Okay girls, I've got a question for you...

I started the South Beach Diet three weeks ago and I've lost about ten pounds (YAY). My goal is to lose another 15 pounds or so, so that I'm around 150...

So my question is: Will my bra size change as I lose weight?

The reason I ask is that I am currently a 40 in the chest and I'm worried it would be damn near impossible to find a size 40A, but a 38A may be more doable...

So will the size change and is my reasoning solid? Advise and opinions are greatly appreciated!

I lost about 40 pounds a few years ago and went from a 40 bra to a 38, sometimes 36 today. So based very roughly on my sample of one, it looks like you might lose an inch of circumference for every 10 pounds, or so. My waist similarly went from 34" to 30".

I lost 20+ pounds and went from a 38" to 36" and sometimes a 34" band bra.

The other problem I had was I had lost all the extra fat in my chest so it was hard creating a cleavage.

I did go down 4-6" in the waist to 25-26".

Yes, as your body size changes, your bra size will change as well...

If you think finding a 40A is gonna be difficult, try looking for a 46A. Thankfully that was many pounds ago (left on the gym floor) and now a 36B is just perfect. Always had the boobs but they were hidden by the body fat.

Yes, weight loss means smaller band size.

I too lost some bra band size along with about 40 pounds. I went from a 40 D and to look right (proportionate) now, I am a 38C. Good thing I already had a set of smaller forms, all I needed was some nwe bras! Actually I like the slimmer me, and there is a lot more pretty clothes when you get below a size 14!
