How many of you think crossdressing is a real "drag"?
What does drag actually mean anyway? Does it mean dressed as a girl?
Are you having fun with your crossdressing and feminine expression?
If you could dress more would you?
Are you becoming bored with dressing up or are you always excited about it?
Do you think of different types of dresses or outfits you'd like to wear or daydream at work about the little black dress you wish you could wear?

Yes if crossdressing is a feeling of being dressed as a girl then it is a drag in the good sense. I enjoy expressing the feminine side and do feel in touch with the girlie side.
It can be a lot of fun and very exhilirating but it also means you have to hide parts of it and mostly have to do it alone and in secret So in that case crossdressing can be a drag in the bad sense. You have to hide it and never feely talk about it except for here.
I sometimes daydream about dressing when I'm not able to dress. I can control my urge to dress but sometimes it is a struggle!
It is liberating when I have times wher I can dress!

The term "drag" in the context of your thread means clothing.
I think it referred to a long skirt or dress dragging along the ground.
It usually means wearing the clothing of the opposite gender.
But then again it can just mean clothing M or F.
I'ts a strange one.
I'd love to know the history of the term.

How many of you think crossdressing is a real "drag"?Not I.
What does drag actually mean anyway? Does it mean dressed as a girl?Drag refers to mocking the other sex through crossdressing in an entertaining fashion. Those who do drag typically don't identify as the other sex.
Are you having fun with your crossdressing and feminine expression?Of course. Who wouldn't?
If you could dress more would you?I cross gender express myself as much as I feel the need to do so.
Are you becoming bored with dressing up or are you always excited about it?Dressing up in the sense of formal wear is always exciting. Dressing up in the sense of casual clothing is just a part of my life, because it's frowned upon to run around naked.
Do you think of different types of dresses or outfits you'd like to wear or daydream at work about the little black dress you wish you could wear? No, I wear whatever I want whenever I want. Society teaches you to care what others think. I really could not care less. "Don't dream it, be it!"

Just another label that I feel is unsuitable, like transvestite, what is this the 1800s?
Are you having fun with your crossdressing and feminine expression?
Fun? I guess in a way you can call being yourself fun yes.
If you could dress more would you?
Of course I would.
Are you becoming bored with dressing up or are you always excited about it?
Excited was something it used to be for me, now it's just normal.
Do you think of different types of dresses or outfits you'd like to wear or daydream at work about the little black dress you wish you could wear?
Only three times a day: morning noon and night

Actually "Drag"---does not mean "DRessed as A Girl", at least not originally. its an OLD theatre term for a COSTUME, not necessarily one of the opposite sex. A person "in drag" was in costume, period, and had nothing to do with the gender of the character. Or it might refer to a class of costume itself, especially a rather technical one, such as "old man drag" or "shakespherian drag", etc.
It has only been since the last half of the last century that DRAG has been used exclusivley to describe a costume of the opposite sex. Since "Drag acts" became accessable to the general public. Even NOW in some theatre circles it may be used to refer to ANY costume---but thats quite rare anymore.

As in a bother? No! As in the style of dressing? No!
What does drag actually mean anyway? Does it mean dressed as a girl?
To me, 'drag' dressing means going over the top with excessive expression - as in overdoing the makeup and clothing to the point of ridiculous.
Are you having fun with your crossdressing and feminine expression?
Its not so much fun, as satisfying a need to crossdress and express my feminine feelings.
If you could dress more would you?
Definately! More so in recent times and in the future Christine will evolve more into my mainstream life.
Are you becoming bored with dressing up or are you always excited about it?
Never bored, but its not really exciting either. Its just something inherent in me that seems natural. I do get excited when i try something new like a wig or breast forms, but after the initial thrill, that sort of thing reverts back to 'normal'.
Do you think of different types of dresses or outfits you'd like to wear or daydream at work about the little black dress you wish you could wear?
When at work, and i used to travel outdoors as well as work indoors in a corporate environment with the ladies. I would see women with all types of clothing and i would wonder where they bought them. Same goes for hairstyles if i saw a nice one - what is the style name and which salon did the cut? So, yes, the many facets of womanhood where always on my mind during work hours.

Getting dressed is never a bother and I do daydream about it.
Right now I'm just about to head home and already I've got my outfit figured out. Mind you it takes about forty minutes so I'm going to change my mind twenty seven times between here and home. Then when I get home I'll see something in the cupboard I like but hadn't thought of, so I might wear that instead.

That is exactly what drag does mean dressed as a girl form Shakespears time when he wrote in the margins of his plays that the males would play female roles because no real females were allowed to so thus drag meant dressed as girls. But anyway yes to dress perhaps as much as possible as a real girl is the desire of most of us short of becoming as much a girl as we really could. I think for this girl to dress much more if not all of the time is the desire how could you really ever get tired of it oh sure you might have times you would not dress at all but one would always return to it sooner or later it is just the way. with us. really Oh well!. Suzy!.
