So as I near the end of my college career, it is time to start looking for jobs. I'm interested in working for a company that has policies in place supporting LGBT, more importantly the T. I haven't started to transition physically yet, but hopefully if I got a job at a company that is friendly, I will be able to start financially.
I do want to go back for a masters, and I do know that many universities are T friendly as well.
Also, are there any insurance companies that do cover some transitioning costs??

I'd suggest that you look at the websites for any company you're about to send a resume to, or any insurance company for their policies regarding TGLB (we need to be first). That might save you some time.
Best of luck, Marci :hugs:

There is, I know, a list of T friendly companies. I think it's put out by the Southern Comfort Conference. Try their web site.

The Human Rights Campaign has produced a list of the best companies to work for. It would be a place to start at the very least.

The Canadian version of Best Buy's employee handbook includes Gender identity in its non discrimination clauses. It must be the same in the US.

Useful and interesting list. I'm not surprised to see the company I work for on there. I already knew we are a very gay-friendly company and figured we were TS friendly too but this proves it. Glad to see it in text.
