Hiding in clear view

It's so strange how things come back around eventually, things we forget about and assume are long buried and confined to history. All it takes is a word, or a picture, or a flashbulb memory and it all comes rushing back. I recently had this experience which left me with a huge melt of emotions.
About 4 years ago, i ventured out properly for the first time, to a pride event in my uni town. This was a huge deal for me, nervously shaking as i approached the event it took a while for me to settle,,,,with the help of some drink. Anyways, the evening went on and i started to relax and actually try and enjoy myself. Heading back to the bar has proven to have been my first mistake! Rounding the corner from the bar i walked literally straight into somebody,,,i stumbled back, apologised, looked up and realised that it was this guy i went to school with, which was odd! I thought we'd had this look of acknowledgement, and that he'd just chosen to leave me be as he said nothing more to me all evening. So thinking he maybe just didn't recognise me,,,or didn't care, i carried on with my evening, and left him to his. Well thanks to the wonders of the internet,,,this old schoolfriend added me as a friend on a popular social networking site the other day. Thinking nothing of it i added him too, and went about the important business of nosing through their pics! There were a few from school, year photo's and those sorts of things,,,,a few holidays,,,and a few from pride,,,2 of these pride photo's have made it onto a school group. I was looking at them thinking how happy he looks with his friends at pride, until i spot a loon throwing some crazy shapes in the background, ermm,,,,me!!! Untagged and everything,,,so he may have left it out of respect, or he genuinely didn't know who i was, but a pic of me hiding in plain view has now made it onto FB. I'm not particularly upset or anything like that,,,,i'm just amazed how these things happen in life,,,it truly is the coolest but strangest thing!

I know what you mean. It is funny how small this world really is, and how we all travel in circles, someday having things like this occur out of the blue.

aw man...I hope my photos never make it to the internet. The strangest TG thing? hmmm. Well this year I presented as Lori to one of my best friends at his party, and it hasn't changed much of anything, except now most the people of his small town ask who I was and I am sure that if I knew their names on that social network I would be there. I am waiting for copies :) The truly strangest thing was when a "sister" who had never met me called me a Diva, but really meant it as a compliment.

Now as far as things coming back...has anyone seen my innocence?
