What style of panties is your fav?

I am curious about if there is any correlation between age and style of favorite panties. I am 54yo, started at 14 and of course my first panties (and bra) were my sisters. She wore VanityFair briefs with lots of lace. Then soon after I discovered LLPGs and they were my fav to wear ever since. If I wear briefs they R the french cut or hicut briefs now. No white ever but lots of beige or "nude" and black, and lace. Great for summer in Az. but still lots of LLPGs when cool enough to wear long pants.

I think a lot of younger CDs prefer thongs, but I don't get any support or have any desire to wear them, I love them on young trim women tho. So please tell me...... Do only old crossdressers wear long legged pantygirdles and briefs? Why does anyone wear white? That is almost as bad as wearing regular cotten mens briefs. Yuk!

Yes, I remember those horrible, white padded bras. I think they used roof insulation for the padding! Now I use white for my 'virginal' look.

Lace string bikinis my current fave. But, then again, I have my panty drawer five-deep, so my panties can fit my mood, and clothes. Silky-top boy shorts fit the hips so nice!

But, always remember, there is no "right" or "wrong". It's all about what you want and being yourself. I don't think age has anything to do with what we're comfortable with. As human beings, we tend to seek out our comfort level, and tend to stay there. Why fix what ain't broke, eh?

Nothing compares to the look (and especially the feel) of black silk satin French knickers (with lace trimmed edges) on bare buttocks. I like nylon FK's for everyday wear. Just can't stand those stretchy lace panties that have lots of little holes in front (pulling you about). For posh, I love something a bit glam, maybe satin but nice and fitted, I am always sad when satin starts to "bobble" yuk! Or perhaps a nice tight polyester lycra that keeps me neat. Perhaps even a pair of very frilly full panties over them for a little extra body. But variety is the spice of pants for me .

Now that I'm a middle aged broad, comfort is definitely more importan to me. Currently I'm wearing bikinis, either regular or string type, in either cotton or microfiber. As to colors, it doesn't really matter to me. My panties run the gamut from plain white to the wildest prints I can find.

I like thongs well I'm sure u all know why and briefs because depending on the style, they can be sooo girly and o sooo sexy to ware. Also silk or satin type of material, some cotton panties look very pretty but dont feel the same as silk or something similar. But when it gets down to it any panty style is 100% more comfy then men underware thats for sure, even granny panties:)

My favourites are knee length silk directoire knickers. They may seem a little dated but I feel sure they will make a comeback soon.

This fascination began when I found a pair that had been given to my mother by a nice mature lady neighbour. I was only 11 at the the time but I remember it well.

I came across them in the wardrobe while looking a bath towel. It was love at first sight - they were delicious and pleasing to the eye. They were light but profound pink with beautiful ornate lacing on the bottom of both legs. I slept in them for several weeks until one morning I failed to conceal my luxurious directoire secret. They were found and confiscated by my mother. Sadly they were never to be worn or seen again. I wear VF full cut "granny" style panties. Dixie Belle and Nancy King panties are very nice too. Lately I have started to wear pettipants and they feel wonderful. All of these are nylon.
In the summer when it is hot or if I'm working someplace where it is hot, I wear cotton panties. They seem cooler and are more comfortable.
Needless to say, there is a myriad of colours and everything is trimmed in lace.
I've tried bikinis and they are too restricting. Thongs don't feel right. It feels like I have a wedgie.

Well the most pairs and daily wear are FoTL low rise cotton but....

Target stores used to have Gilligan & O'Malley boy cut spandex, with a litte lacy trim leg.
These have about a 8inch rise, compared to the 3-4inch now that don't have enough material to make a good hanky.
Since they have now gone the way of WallyWorld around here all they stock is Little Mexico Flea Market junk.
So the dozen pair I managed to get are for those special times.

Definately off the list are regular/high cut, I don't have the hip/waist ratio for them.
Way too much Blue Bell Banana Nut [no beer belly any more just a Blue Belly] over the years.
And why anyone would want to wear buttfloss is beyond me.

DKs? I did try a pair of my Gran's when I was in my teens. They were pale blue, Cotton Interlock with the legs coming down to just above my knees and the elastic puckering them up round the botom of the legs and at the waist. I have to say that I personally prefer full briefs of the type my big sister Anne and my Mother wore and I still wear.

My FAVORITE type of panty so far is the Victoria Secret Body Panty that is a mixture of nylon & spandex. It has an incredibly sexy and comfortable feel to it that I have yet to find an equal for.:D Microfiber panties are my second favorite type of panties for the overall feel and comfort.:)
