My wife and kids are at Grandma and Grandpas. So I decided to take advantage of a day off and head to KC shopping. I didn’t really feel like dolling up so I dressed somewhat androgynous today. I was wearing a white turtleneck sweater, boyfriend jeans, women’s running shoes and a blonde page boy wig. I just dabbed on the foundation primer, a little blush and pink lip gloss. I was a Diva by no means today.

My first stop was Macy’s as I was checking out the sales associate saw my pink, white and light blue IFGE parent’s day bracelet. She asked me if I was wearing an IFGE bracelet. I have had this bracelet since SCC and have worn it everyday and she was the first person to ask me about it. I told her yes and told her she was the first person to recognize it. She explained to me that she had a family member that was MTF. She went on to tell me that I was very convincing and had it not been for the bracelet she would have never suspected that I wasn’t a MAN!

OMG this woman thought I was a FTM. I had no idea what to say so I just told her thanks. I guess I should take it as a compliment. I think. I just know this girl is not going out without makeup and in a page boy wig again.

Based on your description of how you were dressed, I think that you should definitely take the SA's comments as a compliment (you look very girly and cute in your avatar). Overall, it seems that you had a good shopping excursion, but I think that if it were me, I would have to take the time to do my make-up completely.
Anyway, it's a cute story--thank you.

Hmm, very interesting. Not the effect you were hoping for.

Wow, didn't see that coming. I would however agree on taking it as a compliment. If she saw that bracelet and assumed you were FTM you must have really good feminine manerisms and carry yourself well as a woman to cause someone to think you were born as one :)

Cool story Suzanne, you obviously pass better as a woman than a man :)

First, I must say I always enjoy your stories Suzanne. And this one is no exception. Had me rolling with laughter. I hope I don't laugh so hard I cry. My mascara might run. Damn,I hate that!

A very interesting comment. I'm sure that flattered you a lot. That would never be a route I'd have thought about taking. I hope you enjoyed your outing.
