1) Is it just natural
2) Woman trapped in a male body
3) Love the feeling wearing the clothes
4) Love the feeling having a feminine body "to be a woman"
5) fantasies "to be a woman" for the physical(sex)
6) You feel feminine sometimes and masculine others.

Are yours the same?
If so which ones?
If you have others what are they?
I bet I forgot a few . . . .
I am constantly trying to figure myself out.

my highest to lowest is 3,4,1,5,2,6

1. Achieving the right look
2. The joy of putting outfits together
3. Trying out different looks with different make up styles
3. The actual feeling of being all dressed up and looking cute(in my mind)
4. It lets me practice my 10 second timer photo skills
5. It gives me a chance to smile without looking too geeky or nerdy
6. It helps me gauge how much weight I've gained or lost depending on how
tight or loose the outfit is.
7. When I'm finnished I usually dream about what outfit and look I will try to
coordinate next time.

Really just because I am a woman, well, not physically anyways. Yet.
But, since I only dress around the house, and I've come to realize that dressing up won't hurry up my transition, or make me anymore or less of a woman, I usually wear whatever is comfortable. And lately as cold as it has been, it has been almost exclusively boy clothes since I don't have any warm girls clothes.

I would not add 1 and 2 because I really feel feminine sometimes and masculine others.

I love the feeling of wearing female underwear - it gives me an erotic kick. That is it - no other reasons.

Does this apply to a non compleat woman .

i dress because i am a woman . & never liked male clothes . so 50 years of being dressed if you like in male attire was just not me .

2. the feel of .
3 .being seen as a woman .( accepted )
4. having a choise .
5 not being told what to wear .
6. To be free of any restrants
.
3. 5. 1. 4. 6. 2.

1. Natural instinct to dress
2. It feels good to wear them
3. A lot more choices in clothing
4. A need to have male and female feelings

These are in order but the need to feel feminine is stronger than male but not the need to become a woman. I still like being a man. Now if I can get the world to except me without wearing drab clothing.

That pretty much sums it up for me. Along with some others but this will do just fine. Thanks Sherri.:)

I don't have or need any reasons... I'm driven to dress... Plain and simple..

Is it the new year and the resolutions and reflections which accompany this time that is causing all these "why do I dress" and emotional posts? Discussing these things is a great benefit of this board; I certainly sympathize with them all. My reasons:

- I get to express sympathy and empathy
- The clothes are beautiful and comfortable
- In them, I get to act as I feel naturally without coming off as fabulous or some other quality which doesn't convey my real motivation
- Secretly, I think my wife likes me in them. It adds some pizazz and mystery to our otherwise modern suburban lifestyle
- the element of complexity it adds to my life (for better or worse)
- it gives me an excuse to manicure myself which for some reason is comforting in and of itself
- it makes me much more conscious of my appearance and the impression I convey to others
- it inspires me to go and do things which I otherwise would never experience
- it gives me an excuse to experience hairless skin which is a delight everyone should allow themselves
- it gives me a basis to converse with all of you- which has been wonderful

What Orchid said, plus a unresistable desire to wear satin!

Being allowed to express all of the emotions as a woman that society frowns when we do it as a man.

Closer personal space and eye contact with others when talking.

The wonderful feel, freeness and look of the clothes.

Matching my inside with my outside.

Because I like it - plain and simple
Because I look better in a dress than a ratty old suit any day
Because my freakishly girly body demands that I dress like a 22 year-old girl (No. Really. It's quite insistent!)
As most girls know; hair, makeup and clothes are fun! So why should girls have all the fun? :)
Like Suzanne said, I am able to be much freer with my emotions when I'm dressed
Because I now know the joy of finding that perfect skirt, top, or pair of shoes, and I realize that it's not the "kill" in finding that perfect item that I love - it's the hunt
Because, because, because, because, becaaaaaaaaaause, . . . because of the wonderful things she does!

Basically, my life in drab is just that - drab. Kathi is my life in Technicolor. :)

Nothing deep here...I do it because it is fun and I enjoy it.

Definitely trying to use Ladies' Night for an excuse not to pay for drinks.
