My best GG friend moved away a few years ago. When she lived here we were practically always together and practically always shopping. We were total shopping divas. One time we actually spent three solid days in Macy's, pre-reserving stuff for a one day sale.
We don't get to see each other very often now, but we're on the phone together at least once a day, sharing the fabric of our lives with each other.
Today she called while she was out shopping, trying to figure out shoes to go with a stunning new sequin dress she'd bought. We talked it back and forth and I suggested that a simple black pump, something that wouldn't compete with the dress, would be best.
We ended up "remote shopping," with her sending me pics of the shoes she was looking at, etc.
This is the pair she's pretty much decided on:

While we were at it, I sent her a pic of the really wild shoes I'd bought last week:

She said she loved them and would be able to walk in them, but probably couldn't dance in them.
Our remote shopping together really brought back memories for both of us, and it really was fun. I miss the days when we could go shopping together, but at least this was the next best thing.
