Kind of like shooting in the dark without a pic Hon. We can't really help, other than vague suggestions, if we have no baseline idea.:)

If those are your real measurements. Your already a female!! And your GF doesn't know anything about makeup and style?

yes, nice measurements, but it's hard to say anything else with more information, especially a picture.
Good luck though.

There are quite a few posts like this, from new people, asking for such general tips that there is no focus and it makes people wonder if they're really legit.

My advice I guess is wear what you like, if it makes you feel happy! :D

I look at what GG's are wearing. If I like it I look for it in the stores.

Hi Stephy-

Ahhh, if only I were 22 again, I'd probably be wearing the pelt from a freshly killed sabertoothed tiger. As the other girls mentioned, it sounds like you have a pretty nice girly figure already.

My suggestion is simply to watch other women your age and decide what sort of look you think might be flattering for you. Of course there are always fasion magazines as well as movies and television. There are so many choices out there. If you really don't have a gg friend who can help you out, then go to a salon or cosmetics counter for some makeup lessons and tips. No, they won't care if you're TG, to them you're another customer with money to spend. Just be willing to take a chance, have fun with it and explore who you are. Good luck.

Hugs...Joni Mari

I've been dressing about 60 years, still don't what to wear half the time. My suggestion is to try to blend in (unless you are an exhibitionist) and wear what is comfortable.

Yeah i figured it would be to general. Those are my actual measurements i have been a small framed guy since high school. I do not really have any good body shots but here is the best i have.

As said already, start looking at girls around your age and see what they're wearing, and more important when they're wearing it. eg. heels are fine for clubbing but if you're planning on popping out during the day, a pair of uggs will work much better! Remember, the kind of garment that turns you on will often only be suitable for 'trannie friendly' venues. Having said that, you want to be wearing stuff you like! And bear in mind that something that looks a bit plain on the hanger may well look great on.

I'd resist the temptation of buying from specialist CD websites because they're often selling versions of 'glamourwear' which might rock your boat in a photograph but can be disappointing. Most chainstores have websites these days and because you're fortunate in having a body that'll easily work with fem clothes, you'll have the satisfaction of getting something 'authentically' female.

However you'll have smaller hips and bum than a comparable average sized female, so go for a size or two down with skirts and trousers. Similarly, your shoulders will most likely be bigger so you'll need to compensate on tops by going a size or two up. Not sure where you're located, but I'd guess you'll want a size 14/16 (u.s. 12/14) for tops and size 12 (u.s.10) for skirts/pants.

Until you've figured out what sizes actually fit, go for separates, as dresses are a bit more complicated to find with large shoulders/small waists. (off the shoulder dresses are the exception. You'll be able to wriggle into all kinds of skimpy numbers, but these are usually more for eveningwear) Assume you're going to get the wrong size initially, and be careful when trying on (don't remove any labels!) so you can return them and swap for another. This goes for things you don't like as well as things the wrong size. Women are ALWAYS returning stuff which is the wrong size or turn out to be a bit of a disaster stylewise! All stores are geared up to cope with return garments. The exception is underwear. I'm almost exactly the same size as you and wear a 36C bra (u.s.36B), which is a bit smaller than average for someone our height and build. Big boobs draw attention, so best avoided in my opinion! (36 is your chest measurement and the following letter is the cup size.)

Make up and hair are minefields in themselves. Maybe you can get that girl you mentioned to help you out.

Not much t o add here but do it sooner than later, whatever it is you want. Twenty-two just is wasted by so many of us the only time it comes around.

Karen, I have a voice changing dog. When he jabs with his front feet right into the crotch, it's likely to raise an octave or two.

I would also avoid those CD Speciality web sites also. Most of the stuff looks kind of fake looking IMHO.

I don't know what your budget is or how you would feel shopping for woman's clothes but Nordstrom'and Macy's have nice clothes but can get kind of pricey especially Nordie's.Kohl's and Target have a nice selection of clothes at reasonable prices to fit a budget. Applying make up isn't too hard once you learn and know how much without looking like Tammy Faye Baker. Your GG friend should be able to help you and their are web sites also and watch Oprah when she has makeovers for women.

One more thing, if and when you go clothes shopping, you probably be nervous as hell. I remember my 1st time I went shopping for women's clothes at Kohl's. I was so nervous and kept think everyone was looking at me and knew what I was doing, but in reality no one really noticed or cared and neither did the cashiers. Now when I shop its no problem.

Best of luck in you CD journey and keep us posted on how its going.
