I just got back from Las Vegas and had A great time. I arrived about 4:00PM last Tuesday and by the time a got my bag and rented my car, it was nearly 6:15PM before I got to the hotel, Imperial Palace on the strip.
I checked in and found I was on the 5th floor, lots of long hallways and an elevator too, oh my! This is my first time really to be out in public, this much public anyway. Anyway, I made it to my room and wasted no time getting showered and dressed for the evening. I decided on the purple outfit in my album since I wanted to look nice for my Sister and Brother-in-law meeting "Darylin" for the first time.
After getting all prettied up, I made the plunge and entered the hallway for the long walk and elevator ride to my car. It went off without any problems. A nice man even held the elevator for me. As I left the elevator, I noticed several people coming down the hall and so I just kept walking and hoped for the best. I held my head high and marched on. I don't think anyone even looked over except a few of the men who just smiled at me. I made it my car, punched in the address on the GPS and I was on my way.
I arrived at my Sister's home and sat a moment before getting out. This was a tough one, they had no idea of my secret and even though they're open minded, this was their own family. Okay, I was ready, I hoped they were too. I walked up to the door and knocked, my Sister opened the door and just looked at me, all of me. :eek: She smiled and I said "Hi, you didn't know you had a Sister, did you?" She just said no, opened the door and gave me a BIG HUG. :) My Brother-in-law had the same reaction. He's always been a dirty old man so I had to be careful of his hands :o.
We talked for ever and had a very nice evening. After leaving there I went back to the Casino and lost some money, but I had a good time. The next few days were about the same. I visited with my family and had fun in the Casino and Kareoke bar. I didn't sing though.
I can hardly wait until my next trip to Vegas or anywhere now. I'm ready. Check out my new album pictures.
