Personal fashion shows

Hey!! :) Any of you fine girls ever get the desire to open up the closet and do a little personal fashion show for yourself? I have about 20 dresses, and maybe 25 assorted skirts and skirtsuits. When I have the occasion to be alone at home for a while, I like to break out the wardrobe and try EVERYTHING on. Maybe I get through half of it or so before I have to clean up.

Tonight, for some reason, my wife fell asleep on the couch, and my kids were all passed out too. Lock the bedroom door and bingo!! Fasion show!! I got through about 6 outfits before I starting hearing clunking etc (someone wasn't asleep) and put everything away. Was a nice couple of hours though!!! :):):):):)

I started with the usual undergarments (etc) and got into my LBD, then tights and a top, then a skirtsuit w/ matching heels, then a sweaterdress, then some pink Gloria Vanderbilt jeans and a top, and finally my white bridal peignoir to watch some tv. I really felt great afterwards. Wish I could do this more often!!

Any of you girls ever do this kind of thing? Just wondering!! XOXOXOXO :)

Yeah, I've done the whole try everything on thing many times but I've grown to accept that that's just how us girls decide what to wear when we're getting ready! HA Ha!

I do this on a regular basis it seems. However, I've changed my expectations a little from wanting to try everything to getting a few new combinations that look good. It usually starts with a new skirt or top or pair of shoes and I want to see how it fits into the rest of the wardrobe. A few hours of fashion show time is alway a treat.

The next thing is to start taking and sharing the pics of your show!

Oh, yes, I spend time doing this once in awhile. It's fun and it's good practice for dressing and doing make-up and getting the "look" that is just right.
I also love doing it just for the fun of doing it.

I did a fashion show about 2 years ago. At dinner one evening my late wife, who volunteered as my personal fashion consultant, got to talking about which shoes went best with which of my outfits. After dinner we went into the bedroom. I modeled numerous outfits which we proceeded to critique. We got a number of surprises - - combinations we wouldn’t have thought of that really looked good, and some “conventional wisdom” which wasn’t that much wisdom. Like the rather nondescript housedress I wear with equally nondescript flats or low heels while doing chores taking on an genuine air of class when worn with sexy 4-inch ankle strap sandals. Or the party dress I’d always worn with 3-1/2 inch bone pumps actually looking much better with mid-heel strappy white sandals (that let my pedicure peek thru).

We both had a lot of fun that evening. Good thing it was Saturday night, ‘cause it must have been 3 am before we made it into bed.

I never seem to find the time to do that very often. However, since I go out regularly, I take a day or two earlier to try on different outfits for the upcoming outings. So, in a sense I get to do mini fashions shows on a somewhat regular basis and do enjoy those moments as I keep adjusting styles and accessories to finalize that special look.

Only like just about every time I get dressed. I love to try on as many of my outfits as possible.

I used to do this, but now I know what I look like all dressed up so the frilly of it has kind of worn off. It is more like picking out the clothes for the day now.

I do try on new cloths and show the wife though, she does the same with her new cloths too.

I LOVE personal fashion shows! I always videotape mine and take stills from the video so I have a whole catalogue of how different outfits look.

My favorite thing to do is go shopping and buy 7 or 8 dresses at a time. Then I come home, dress up in my fave bustier, stockings and stilettos, and try on each new dress while filming it. Such a damn turn on....

Personal fashion shows are always fun. I don't do it often, but when I do, I pour myself a glass of wine and take lots of pics.
