Has anyone heard or read about this company? It is run by a MTF who transitioned back in 85 and offers what are described as "quality"herbal formulas.

www.myevanesce.com/who.html

This link is to their web site and it tells about "Diana" and her qualifications.

I understand that there are some who place great value on herbal formulas while others swear that they are a waste of time, but this company is run by a member of this community and seems to think that they are offering something needed.

I am looking for feedback on this particular company and not a general discussion of herbs vs prescription drugs. Anyone know something important about this company?

Fairly sophisticated bull. I wouldn't waste your money on anything this women (or man) says.

There is more than a grain of truth here, but no matter who or what is said, the company is in business to make money from guys who are afraid of "real estrogen" bought from a pharmaceutical company with a prescription. The FACT is that ALL pharmaceutical grade hormones (except Premarin, which comes from pregnant mare's urine) are synthesised originally from plant extracts. They are just concentrated and repeatable and regulated.

It takes hormonal influence to change your body. Period. Buy unregulated, untested, hormone like "phytochemicals" (phyto, BTW just means plant) OTC, or buy them with a script. It doesn't matter. If you want to change your body, you are only gonna do it with hormones. No amount of snake oil advertising will EVER change this basic fact.

It has always amazed me how fearful so many guys are of relatively safe regulated medical grade compounds and how SO much effort is put in to finding some suposed alternative from totally unreliable snake oil salesmen on the web at hugely inflated prices.

Lovies,
Stephenie

This all reminds me of my life in the 80's early 90's..

i traveled to England quite often, and I'd read about Stephanie Lloyd (sp?)...
then I read about her transformation studio!!! OMG how wonderful..

i finally got the courage to go, which by the way, was very difficult the entrance was right across from a major train station,...

and the first thing i saw was row after row trans porn..
french maid outfits..etc...nothing wrong with that...just not what i was thinking..then they told me they could make me over and serve tea and here's what it costs....it was alot....there were 2 guys there in trench coats looking at the magazines...

over the years i saw ad after ad for that place, including all kinds of feminizing creams and pills and extracts...but i never bit..i had been there and i just didnt get the right feeling.

Stephanie's comment is spot on

"It has always amazed me how fearful so many guys are of relatively safe regulated medical grade compounds and how SO much effort is put in to finding some suposed alternative from totally unreliable snake oil salesmen on the web at hugely inflated prices"

Pay more, get less, but keep the secret...i understand the math and I totally respect the issue of secrecy, but i would urge folks to be honest about what they are actually "getting"...

Excuse me for butting in. I would say referring to someone who transitioned 25+ years ago and those going on hormones in the male vernacular is more than insulting, and imho has no place in the transsexual forum.

To the OP, my girlfriend almost died her first 2 months on HRT because her blood pressure went through the roof. Another had the opposite reaction and hit the floor because of low blood pressure. Please, stay under the care of a professional.

This site very rarely agrees on something, too many opposing views, but the one thing where almost everyone agrees: :)

 STAY AWAY FROM THE HERBAL REMEDIES, THINK ABOUT THE TRAVELLING SNAKE OIL SELLERS OF THE OLD WILD WEST, GRAB YOUR MONEY AND NEVER SEEN AGAIN.

Bet you a pound (Dollar) to a penny that somewhere within the small print is a disclaimer.

Just my humble tuppence worth :hugs:

If there are herbal means to do what you want, I'd consider consulting the orientals, esp. the Chinese as they have a long history with such things and likely have found viable ways to help in transitioning. Just a guess, though.

I can't speak to the effectiveness.. I did take them for a few months. Maybe the small results I had were the result of some concurrent growth from who knows what factors, or maybe the herbs work ever so slightly. Who knows, but think about this: If you really price it out, to follow her recommended dosages of the recommended products.. it's in the neighborhood of 100 dollars a month... most people on that forum are talking about being on it for 5 years+ for results... But I figure any person serious about this transition should save that 100 a month, and will be able to afford counseling (even without insurance), and a legit hormone prescription in short order. (What I'm doing now.. though I am currently getting ran around a little, I'm still better off I figure.)

Also of some small note, from a horticultural perspective.. Raid (the bug spray), which is a form of permetrin..comes from a daisy. Oleander is an herb too.

First question to ask is if this really works why doesn't Merck or Pfizer or any other large pharmaceutical company market it? If it was cheap and effective it would be sold by reputable companies.

The second question to ask is why is the affidavit so ...fuzzy. Nebulous let's say. Since Colorado was mentioned I did a little "googleing" and it took me forever to find anyone named Dianna who may or may not have those credentials (you would think that would be easier). You don't know if "Dianna" used these herbs prior to transitioning. The Dianna I found is a published author and you would think that would have been mentioned.

The third and probably most important is safety. It says they are safe but so does that email you got from Nigeria about the 25 million. Herbals are not controlled by any agency. The amount of any hormone in the bottle could vary from enough to transform an elephant to none at all. With the global ability to make and fake drugs now I would be very cautious about anything from any "online" company.

Plant estrogens have been studied extensively and have conflicting reports. Understand that any hormone can and will have side effects.

Hmmm if this were the 1800's there would be a covered wagon rolling into town with Phoenix Project written on the side of it. Out would jump a man in a top hat calling every TG person in town out to come listen to his tales of wonderment and fulfillment concerning this wonderful new elixar. This stuff should come in a bottle named snake oil.

I'm not going to get dragged into an argument about whether herbals work or not, but anyone who can't see that this site is nothing more than a come-on needs glasses and to have their credit cards confiscated. This person claims to be our Mother Teresa and public champion, yet she won't identify herself (could be an old guy with a pot belly and poor hygiene for all I know) and everything on that site has a price tag attached to it, I'm surprised there isn't a coin slot just so you can read it...and with that I'm closing this thread so it can die in peace and go away.
