This morning, as I sometime do, I partially dressed before going to work. I had on bikini panties (with lace trim; very feminine), sheer off-black pantyhose, and my cute purple suede ballet flats. My partially dressing to go to work is generally not a problem because I arrive at work very early and change into normal shoes before any of my coworkers arrive; however, for the few hours before that, I get to partially indulge my desire.

This morning, I went to the rest room and was walking through the large, multi-tenant office building, when I see a guard in the distance walking toward me. He was just making his rounds, but I didn't want him to see me, so I turned around and headed up one floor through the stairwell. I was not more than three steps out of the stairwell when a woman comes around the corner and I am face to face with her.

I said, "Good morning." and she replies "Good morning.", and then for some reason that I can't understand, she looks down at my feet. I registered the recognition on her face but just kept walking. The experience was a little scary and a lot exhilirating. I'd love to hear her conversations about this later today.

She was probably trying to sneak out of the building without anyone noticing she was weraing black male wingtips!! Lol. And you surprised her. I wear womens shoes all the time and if you act like its as normal as rain... No one pays any attention at all..

I always wear women's boots and shoes, and no one seems to notice, but if I was wearing purple suede ballet flats and someone saw them, I think there's no way she'd think of them as men's shoes.

By the way, where did you find those purple suede ballet flats? I'd love a pair myself. :heehee:

So you're saying I should go ahead and wear my 4" black patent pumps to work? Oh good! I've been looking for an excuse!

Karen, the purple suede ballet flats are available at Meijers. They aren't really high quality shoes, but they also don't cost much. But most importantly, they are adorable.

I often wear women's shoes and stockings when we go out - one woman noticed and gave me a rather puzzled look...but most people don't seem to notice. My guess is that she really didn't think it was a big deal

Does OSHA allow 4" heels in the mine? Or do you have steel-toed heels? :)

I wouldn't worry about it. At least you were comfortable.
