Today, I stopped to see my parents. My mother and I were talking about my brother. He is an Episcopal Cannon or something, I'm not sure. He is being considered for Bishop positions in a couple of places.
Anyway, my mother made a comment about him probably not getting it in one place because of the bishop there was in favor of homosexuals.
I have no idea how my brother feels about this subject, so I make no assumptions there.
Mother said something along the lines of "those people choose to be."
I just said "who would choose to be different?" She has known about me foe some time now. I then said that I had known that I was different since I was five. I didn't choose to be a cross dresser. Why would I choose to live a life like that? I told her that it hasn't been that long that I finally realised that there is nothing wrong with me and accepted who I am.
She didn't have a whole lot to say. I mean, it wasn't like an argument or anything.
I just wanted to let her know that people should be accepted for just being themselves.
I really need to talk with my brother. As far as I know, he doesn't know about me. It might be time.
