Hi everyone,
First off, I want to say hello - I've been away for a long while (though dressing) but decided to come back. It's been great to be party of this community again.
As for this topic, I just wanted to know if anyone would like to share with the group any bad, harrowing, or strange experiences they've had while dressed and out. Perhaps we can learn from our experiences certain things to do for safety, etc.
I can only think of two for me. One happened when I was all dressed up driving around late at night. I was driving down Santa Monica Blvd. near west hollywood and a black bmw was following me. I did a u-turn, and he did too. At the red light, he rolled down his window and looked over at me. I looked over at him and he motioned with his hand and mouth in an 'obscene' manner, suggesting that we pull over and that I perform a sexual act on him. I just rolled my eyes at him, shook my head and drove off. He stopped following me.
Another time, I was walking back from my car dressed and went into my apartment. I then stepped out onto my balcony and noticed a man standing on the sidewalk, blocked from complete view by some plants. When I noticed him he started walking towards me, but then stopped as I walked back into the apartment and locked the door. He stood there, turned around, and walked a few steps, and then stood there for a few minutes. Eventually he walked away. Creepy!

Hmmmmmm, I'm searching my mind, but to date there haven't been any bad experiences while dressed. The "worst" thing that happened to me was when I was on a plane, and we were looking at the Delta flight safety video. I said something along the lines of "Oh goody, here comes the Plastic Surgery poster-child for stewardesses. The girl in the next seat certainly got it, but the guy by the aisle didn't think she'd had work done. I said, "Oh, yeah! She's obviously had Botox, lips done (overdone, actually), cheek implants, breast implants - I mean look how small her frame is - and so much more. The girl agreed, and said with a knowing smile, "Wow, you seem to know a lot about plastic surgery, for a guy." I agreed, and showed her my Kathi pictures to show her why. Her response, a shrug of the shoulders, as if to say, "So? And you showed me those pictures why, exactly . . ."
Otherwise, each experience seems to have gone well. So far, at least.

Once, soon after I started going out to clubs (the old Queen Mary in LA), I found myself dangerously low on gas while driving through South Central (at the time it was mainly a low income / Black area).
I gulped, and got off the freeway and started filling the tank en Femme. There were three or four middle aged guys just sitting and chatting nearby, and I overheard this:
"Is that a man or a woman?"
"One way to find out ...."
At this point, thankfully, my tank was full, and I quickly got outta Dodge ...

A few years ago I was travelling to a small town in Ontario Canada and wanted to change into my feminine clothes. I pulled off to the side of the road and proceeded to make the change. Now this was a road that didn't have much traffic, so I thought I was safe. It was raining heavy and at first I didn't notice a car pull up along side of me. When I turned my head I noticed it was an Ontario Provincial Police officer. He rolled the window down on the passenger side of his car and I rolled my window down. At this time I had almost completed my transformation with the exception of my skirt. This was something he could'nt see from the driver seat of his car. He said "Are you allright mam"? I replyed everything was o.k. and told him I had just checked my map. I said "No problem officer, I now know where I'm going". He replied that it was a nasty night so be careful. I said I would, and he drove away without getting out of his cruiser. I don't think he wanted to get out in the rain. WOW!!! Was I relieved.

Dilane, that is a scary story. That happened to me the first and last time I went to the Queen Mary, but I was over by Norwalk/Downey when it happened. Thank goodness I didn't have to pull over in some scary place. You're lucky that you got away.
One thing I've done is to make sure that I get gas before hand or at least remember to check gas before going out.

This isn't a bad one necessarily, but one that made my heart thump.
This is in-line with Marcie's story. When I was in college I was driving back to my apartment and I stopped in a business complex parking lot to adjust the straps on my heels. A police officer then passed by and saw me, pulled into the parking lot, and came over the my car. It was a woman, and she asked me what I was doing. I told her that I was adjusting my shoes because "these heels are killing me". She shined her flashlight on my heels and said "Yeah, those would kill me too". She just said that to watch out and left.

I've had one creepy experience where a guy really obviously followed me around in center city. Nothing happened, he buzzed off a Macy's. I looked great that day, if I can say so myself.
This all happened in the middle of the day in the busy center of a large city, so I never really felt unsafe.
If you want to try something really creepy feeling, try getting a crowded but very quiet city bus around midnight. Walking to the back for a seat with everyone (mostly mexican/hispanic guys) staring silently is very, very strange. I don't get out a lot a night - I feel much safer in the day.
All the Best,

even in day while in drab. one can have problems.
in a mall downtown sacto. a larger than i black guy was tailing me. (not a cop) lots of not so nice people in that area.

I was building my brothers cottage in Freedom NH and went out for a drive late one night. The car broke down and I had to walk back. I'm not sure what I was afraid of the most. The noises in the woods or worrying if a car would come by. The walk was all woods until I got back at the cottage. Nothing happened but it was a long forced walk wearing 4 1/2" heels.

My scariest moment involved running into a police roadblock. I think they were checking for drunk drivers, and here I was dressed thoroughly femme. I rolled up to the nearest policeman and was starting to roll down the window, heart pounding wondering what was going to happen, and he waved me on! I've since learned that they can't stop everyone and apparently one of the rules is that a single woman alone is not likely to be a problem, so probably that's why I was waved through.
Actually, I ran into a roadblock a second time while en femme. This time I was thinking faster and the moment I realised there was a block I signalled for a right turn and drove into the parking lot of an apartment building. Then in full view of the police completed the act. Got out of the car picked, up my purse, adjusted my hair and walked to the entrance out of sight behind the building and hid. I waited for 30 minutes then boldy walked back to my car, started it and turned onto the road away from the police. One officer stopped traffic to let me by and I waved a thankyou to him. I was tempted to blow a kiss, but that was probably pushing my luck too far.
