View Full Version : Wife names me and finds it odd that I'm in drab!

I had a particularly exhausting day at work yesterday, so instead of coming home and getting changed as I normally do, I just got some dinner and relaxed in front of the TV. Just before bed, my wife said to me "where was Susan tonight?"
I was somewhat confused as I don't know any Susan's, and replied "who?"
"Susan", she repeated. "You didn't put your clothes on tonight, are you ok?"
Not only has my wife seemingly given her own name to my fem side, but she also found it really odd that I wasn't wearing girls clothes. How cool is that? :hugs:

That's really nice to hear.
Are you sticking with it? Does it feel right?
:hugs:
I'm not sure. I quite like the name I suppose. I had been considering Sarah or Lucy. While I'd love it if she called me by a girls name, I do worry that once it becomes habit, she might accidentally let it slip in front of friends / family, or refer to me as she.

IF you and your wife get into the habit of referring to your female persona in the third person at all times when you're not en femme, there's little chance of people realising that it's a reference to you.
When I'm in boy mode, my wife and I often discuss something that would suit Alice. Anybody listening to the conversation might wonder who Alice is and why we're discussing clothes for her, but there's very little chance of them thinking that it is me.

Excellent suggestion. Thank you! xxx

What?
Have you never heard of a boy named Sue?
*************************************
A Boy Named Sue == Johnny Cash
---------------------------------
Well, my daddy left home when I was three
And he didn't leave much to Ma and me
Just this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze
Now, I don't blame him 'cause he run and hid
But the meanest thing that he ever did
Was before he left, he went and named me 'Sue'
Well, he must o' thought that is was quite a joke
And it got a lot of laughs from a' lots of folk
It seems I had to fight my whole life through
Some gal would giggle and I'd get red
And some guy'd laugh and I'd bust his head
I tell ya, life ain't easy for a boy named 'Sue'
Well, I grew up quick and I grew up mean
My fist got hard and my wits got keen
I'd roam from town to town to hide my shame
But I made me a vow to the moon and stars
That I'd search the honky-tonks and bars
And kill that man that gave me that awful name
Well, it was Gatlinburg in mid-July
And I just hit town and my throat was dry
I thought I'd stop and have myself a brew
At an old saloon on a street of mud
There at a table, dealing stud
Sat the dirty, mangy dog that named me 'Sue'
Well, I knew that snake was my own sweet dad
From a worn-out picture that my mother'd had
And I knew that scar on his cheek and his evil eye
He was big and bent and gray and old
And I looked at him and my blood ran cold
And I said, "My name is 'Sue'! How do you do? Now you gonna die"
Yeah, that's what I told him
Well, I hit him hard right between the eyes
And he went down but, to my surprise
He come up with a knife and cut off a piece of my ear
But I busted a chair right across his teeth
And we crashed through the wall and into the street
Kicking and a' gouging in the mud and the blood and the beer
I tell ya, I've fought tougher men
But I really can't remember when
He kicked like a mule and he bit like a crocodile
I heard him laugh and then I heard him cuss
He went for his gun and I pulled mine first
He stood there lookin' at me and I saw him smile
And he said, "Son, this world is rough
And if a man's gonna make it, he's gotta be tough
And I know I wouldn't be there to help ya along
So I give ya that name and I said good-bye
I knew you'd have to get tough or die
And it's that name that helped to make you strong"
He said, "Now you just fought one hell of a fight
And I know you hate me, and you got the right
To kill me now, and I wouldn't blame you if you do
But ya ought to thank me, before I die
For the gravel in ya guts and the spit in ya eye
'Cause I'm the son-of-a-bitch that named you 'Sue'"
Yeah, but what could I do, what could I do
I got all choked up and I threw down my gun
And I called him my pa, and he called me his son
And I come away with a different point of view
And I think about him, now and then
Every time I try and every time I win
And if I ever have a son, I think I'm gonna name him...
Bill or George, any damn thing but 'Sue'! I still hate that name

Well, Maybe Kate Susan or Susan Kate?
I am really one to give relationship advice here but -
I guess if she feels like she is part of your femme side, she will stay accepting.
And yeah it is cool, susan is a good name.
Honestly, I think if you are over4 40 than Susan would probably be better than kate anyways. Kate just sounds so, teenager.

I wouldn't worry if it slips in passing. I get referred to a "she" all the time by the wife, more than 90% of the time people don't blink. I sometimes don't even notice when she does it.

Totally awesome girlfriend! I especially like the part where you said your wife said: "You didn't put your clothes on tonight, are you ok?" because my wife said has said to me plenty of times (because of the way we met) "if you ever stopped wearing girls clothes I'd think you didn't love me anymore" ... we met because of my CDing. :o
P.S. My wife often calls me "Rach" when I'm in boy mode!

I have been reading here for a while and never posted because I was not sure where to start. But reading this thread reminded me of my own story so i thought I would share. I am a straight man with a lovely wife but I have a huge fetish for womans jewelry and accessories - I love it when my wife dresses for me with lots of rings and bangles but I also like to raid her jewelry collection and wear it myself when we are at home or in bed.
I find it to be a huge turn on when I wear several of her rings with one of her watches and maybe a bangle of hers. She is good with my little fetish and supports me with it. She will buy bangles from Torrid or Lane Bryant so I can wear them too (because they are larger). Every time we go to the mall we go in the stores and look for new stuff we both can wear.
Anyway, I was never really sure where I could share this -
Thanks

When I'm in boy mode, my wife and I often discuss something that would suit Alice.
This is the main reason my wife and I named Sally. That was years before Sally actually interacted with anybody else.

That's great Kate :bighug: - or should we now start calling you Suzi? Maybe this will give you the excuse to take it further with your wife's support.

Well I take it then that you two had never discussed your fem name? I really think that since she has decided on a name for you, I would try to go with it in some sense. I would think it must be a name she likes, or has good vibes for her and we all need good vibes:D
I really like Susan Kate

Well if my wife refered to me using a female name, I would be excited that she could go there. I would let her give me a name that she likes. Afterall, who really picks their own name anyways.
Enjoy, that you have an accepting wife and let her call you whatever she wants as long as it is something respectful. :)
Its amazing how some GGs actually like our CDing and accept us as their life partners.
Am so happy for u that she was wondering where ur femme self went.

What wonderful acceptance. That's gotta feel great!
And I do know of at least one boy named sue, but it's his last name.
From Wikipedia: Derald Wing Sue, Ph.D. is a professor of psychology at Columbia University. He is one of the most cited multicultural scholars in the United States.
I had to read him a couple times. Good stuff, but I think yours is even better. :o

Hey, Sue that is marvelous that your wife is not only accepting, but herself encouraging the incorporation of your feminine persona into your relationship and daily life. I don't think you could ask for a better situation. Go with it, and enjoy becoming Susan!
