I am definitely a 6 (Other)! I dress simply because I like to wear feminine clothing. It fits better, feels better, and certainly looks better!! So why not wear those things? I have no desire to be a woman! Since I lost my wife to cancer I don't even look like a woman when I dress. No wig and no makeup, just me in a skirt or dress! I am a Crossdresser!!:)

I do not believe I have ever "fit" into anything referred to as a "group" in my life. If there was such a thing as an "eccentric" group, I could probably get in.
I do not have many "crisis" issues in my life. It is simply an ongoing adventure. If things change, I either adapt or move on to the next dimension on a never ending list.
I only have a button, which is always "on"...no switches.

What group do you fit into?
6. Other. I like how the clothes feel, and I like the feeling they give me, so I wear them as often as I can. Since you love satin, I'm sure you can relate...:battingeyelashes:

6. I vary in a range between male and female, but never to either extreme. Crossdressing and socialising as a female allows me to express the feminine aspects of my personality.

But now you ask, I am just another "me". I don't see the need to compartmentalize people. We are all individuals, each with our own characters, quirks and idiosyncracies.
We are all in this forum because of some degree of commonality.
I am a (part-time) transvestite and have only used the term crossdresser since I found this forum. I am also bi-sexual, but that is just another part of me along with crossdressing and sometimes these two traits happen simultaneously.

6 for sure. Just like to dress as a woman. Love the feel, the look, the makeup, the heels etc etc etc. Like a lot of other comments I'm just me. I was a late starter but I wouldn't want to turn it off. Got to make up for all the time before I found crossdressing!

I'm jealous that everyone is so confident in their identity. I just feel sad and angry about mine.
I feel like I'm in #1 and #5 on the list.
And it that switch existed it wouldn't be just turned off, it would be removed and the wires capped.
Maybe I'll start a new thread so I don't get an off-topic rant going.

For me both of the following:
- When I am dressed my sexual desires for a woman change to one for a male or (CD, TS).
- I am femme inside and I want to show it on the outside.
I would not turn off the switch, only wish I could express myself more often.

While we all have much in common, it really is impossible to pick from a menu of 5 choices where we fit in on the gender identity spectrum. But in the spirit of the question, I'll say that #3 is the best fit for me. None of the other choices even come close. As far as the switch, what good would it do to turn off the desire to dress? It's a product of how I feel inside. If I still felt femme inside, but had no desire to dress, I still wouldn't fit in any better with the "normal" world.

Great poll!
1. I tried to quit but now what is the point in stopping.
- I can quit, but then I would miss it as a fun thing to do.
2. When I am dressed my sexual desires for a woman change to one for a male or (CD, TS).
- Hey, I like sex. That's a good thing, right? In any event, desire is not the same thing as doing... And, if you do, then it's just something you did. Big deal.
3. I am femme inside and I want to show it on the outside.
- No, I'm just me. Ultimately, the wrapping is just wrapping.
4. I need to be a female. I hate my male parts.
- It's a free country. Do what you wanna do. No need to hate anybody or anything.
5. Dressing confuses me even more.
- Not confused; busy making choices. Soooo many choices...
6. Other (Explain)
- In the pursuit of happiness while running the daily "obstacle course" we call life. It's the same course no matter what your interests in life are.
If you could flick a switch and not have the desire or passion to dress would you put it in the off position?

Hello Satin Lover!
To answer your question about the switch, I would turn off CD in a moment. My wife hates CD, society hates CD, I could lose my job because of CD.....it is just something that is not useful to a man's life! However, I feel great when I dress and I love doing it. As for a group, I do feel more fem inside then I show as a male and love dressing completely and going out. I feel like me dressed or not, but love feeling like a pretty and sexy me.

2. Hmmm... nope. I become a lipstick lesbian.
3. If by "femme" you mean passionate and in-touch with my sexuality, then yes. And I do like showing it.
4. They certainly do get in the way sometimes, but no, I like my bits just as they are.
5. Just the opposite -- everything becomes much clearer.
6. Other... nope, not that I can think of!

Six (6) for sure. I could never give up my dressing , if anything I will pursue it with more vigor. It's funny, as you age and you look back over your life, you realize what you would change. I would have changed the internet from coming on board in the 80's to the 60's, then I would be Madilyn 100% of the time; mind, body and soul......for now I remain Madilyn part time !!

Love the ones you are with. Sometimes people are more important. Be thankful for what you have. Be honest going into a relationship. I would give up everything I do Femme to be married and have a real family. My softer side can come out in the caring and loving of my wife. If you are in a relationship it is a two way street. Be thankful you have a SO and maybe some kids too.
Not sure what the next 24 hours will hold for me but if this is the last thing I say then that is cool. Hope the admins will keep the last things I say.

I used to be 1 and i'm 2.
1. I tried to quit but now what is the point in stopping.
Yes. I quit in the past but i'm back to CD and it's not meant to end. I like that.
2. When I am dressed my sexual desires for a woman change to one for a male or (CD, TS).
Exactly. It's a weird thing but when i wear my female outfit i have fantasies with men in mind. Never with females. And despite the fact i'm straight. So i take it when i'm "playing" a woman she's straight.
3. I am femme inside and I want to show it on the outside.
There's a feminine part inside of me. I can show it without crossdressing. I wear my heart on my sleeve and i play music. It's a great way to express your deep innerself. I don't want to 'show' my feminine part to others. It's mine, my precciouuussss ;)
4. I need to be a female. I hate my male parts.
No. I like my male parts. I like being a male. That's what i am.
5. Dressing confuses me even more.
It used to be confused when i was teen.
6. Other (Explain)
Nothing to add.
If you could flick a switch and not have the desire or passion to dress would you put it in the off position?
That's not a switch that i need. My CDing is linked to the fact i can't find the woman of my dream. Bring me the woman of my dream and then CDing =>bin.
Until then it's a no.

For me #1
6. When dressed as a woman I see women as I see myself. I am not attracted to men, well it was one time I did find a guy very nice because he knew how to talk to me and say the right things which in short I found attractive. Now I have been at this long enough to know how to make sure to be safe and still let the guys know I am not available. I have done the walk when I knew the guy was looking:)
Your last question is a tough one since many of us found the switch and for some odd reason the people who installed it put it on a timer! So far I have not found anyone who has quit dressing and those who have are struggling with it and I know for me when I stopped I was one angry man! So for my health I will dress until I feel it fade away.
I don't fit into 1 though 5.

As to why I dress, well have been asked that question on many ocassions, still not been able to define It,Lets just say it feels sooo right to me,and I feel also it makes me a better person, and is where I feel happiest

3. Yes to a degree, I would have to agree with this one some what.
4. Not most of the times, but at times maybe just a little.
5. No, no confusion here, in fact just the opposite, it seems to clear the head and help me focus.
6. I know who and what I am, but putting on a skirt, wig, and make up some how makes me feel complete.
As for your switch, I want it put under lock and key, so not me or anyone else can touch it, I fear losing myself, if I lost the ability to express myself.

Sorry, can't say I fit into any of the choices. I think there are parts of my persona that are more feminine then male. Things like my being accepting, tolerant, loving, giving, nuturing and empathetic of those around me. All more linked to being a female. But then again, I know I am male and like that part of me just fine. I honestly think I have the best of both worlds rolled into one person. No, I would not hit that switch.

I am a group 1, group 3 and a group 6 kind of person. Group 6 is "Dressing in femme helps me to be closer to the other people in my life, esp. women."
My switch is in the "off" position as I am convinced that I have a womanly side of me and I now want to express that part of me to others.

I am a size 6. Ohhh that's not what you were asking dear sorry.
I am caught between trying to find balance between three and four. Although, I can't say I hate my maleness. There are some great perks that I love about being a man to include being a man. I am just trying to find that point of happiness where I can balance the woman I am with the man that I have grown to be.
Now for that switch. I have looked all over and can't find the darn thing. Can you be a dear and give me a hint where it is? Some days I would break the switch off so it can never be shut of and some days I would love to take the faceplate off and cut the red wire just like the do in the movies.

I'll pick #6 because I don't like going with the herd, flock, pack or assembled masses.
Why did I make the choices that I have? I'm still working on the answer. So stayed tuned. I'll let you know when I've figured it out. Promise.
Would I flip the switch to turn it off if I could? Yes,if it were a simple light switch. Unfortunately it's not. In the mind when one switch is turned off there is a good chance that another one gets turned on to take its place. I can deal with this one being on. I don't know what the other circuits are for so it's best not to mess with them.

6. Other.
I feel more complete, more confident, better about myself as a woman. I am fulfilled by it. I don't hate my male parts, however much I might detest sweaty balls chafing or sticking to the side of a leg. I do have feminine qualities on the inside, but I have masculine qualities too. I have developed some fantasies regarding men, but it has to do with making myself feel more feminine and not about actual attraction to men.
In all, it's about how I feel more comfortable; I know I don't fit into any of those categories, but I don't know how to categorize it just yet.

I think I'm a #5. But I'm not sure about much.Some days I'm not sure I class as human...BJ
1. I tried to quit but now what is the point in stopping.
2. When I am dressed my sexual desires for a woman change to one for a male or (CD, TS).
3. I am femme inside and I want to show it on the outside.
4. I need to be a female. I hate my male parts.
5. Dressing confuses me even more.
6. Other (Explain)
If you could flick a switch and not have the desire or passion to dress would you put it in the off position?
I would be 2,3 and 4 I like men when dressed and since I feel I am a girl i want to dress for it and I wish all my male parts would fall off

That, "Other", was short for, " Looking like an-OTHER person".
Which makes me a #6!
And, if the "OTHER" person happens to be a younger, atteactive, female, so much the better!:D

Number 1 I suppose. Would I turn it off if I could? Uhhh... oddly even though it's number 1, no. Although I have difficulty understanding it and I occasionally loath myself for doing it, I enjoy it too much. So I'm clearly conflicted here.
Its kind of like smoking. You want it real bad even though it can hurt you. Unlike smoking though, it can't give you cancer and you look/smell much better while doing it.

Like most others here, I hate to be put in a box. But for your survey. I guess I'm a three with leanings to four. I like some of my maleness, and things I do as a guy. But I really like what the woman inside of me brings to the table. Which is something I've been wrestling with most of my life.

I'll take one order of "me" as well...
Have to go with the "me" group. I'm not Gay, I'm straight, and love just gettin dressed and being Eva-Jene!

Mostly #6 for me. I just like the feeling of dressing en femme. It feels good, makes me feel sexy, and allows me to get in touch with my feminine side.

That's easy, number four. My female will get out and rid it self of the male parts eventually.

I'm close to number 3, but am still me. I love to dress when I can simply because I like feeling beautiful. I have thought about dressing full time, but don't think I would have the courage to. Also thought about going full woman as well. Who knows what I will do in time. All I know for now is that I love dressing up, and maybe someday showing Rachel to the world...in terms of shutting off the switch to doing this.. uh uh no way!!!!! It is my form of release, and would go crazy if I could not be beautiful every once in a while.
