Can makeup really make your eyes feel tired? After a 14-hour day today, my eyes are exhausted! Even my light moisturizer/foundation felt heavy, and, of course, my feet were pretty tired too!
I was up at 5:20 and out the door by 6:30, en femme, to attend the "Get Motivated" event in Anaheim, about 2 hours from home in rush hour traffic.

The suggested attire was "business casual" so I chose an embroidered skirt, white zig-zag trim blouse, jacket, and open-toed stilettos with 4½ inch heels. At a guestimate I would say about 5-10% of the women wore skirts, most of the rest wore "business casual" pants, but almost all of the women wore open-toed heels of one sort or another, some easily as high as the ones I was wearing.
I really didn't want heels quite that high, but they seemed to be the only appropriate open-toed black shoes in my closet and I wanted to show off my Crimson Carol toenail polish. Actually, they looked well proportioned to my outfit and even my spouse didn't comment that they were too high.
It was a great day-long event with live presentations by Michael Phelps, Zig Ziglar, Gen. Colin Powell, Rudy Giuliani, Condoleezza Rice and more.
Lots of fun talking to people, exchanging business cards, and enjoying the day, and yes, to the best of my knowledge, I wasn't read, no, not even once!
