Hi everyone! I need a little help. I have a big choice to make soon--whether to move to Oklahoma City or to Nashville. There are a lot of issues factoring into the best decision for me. One factor is that I'd like to be myself (i.e. live as a woman) in my personal life. Something such as just being able to go to a grocery store would mean a lot to me personally. I have limited experience in both cities so I need some help! Are either good for t-girls? Are either of these cities a city you love on a personal level for other reasons? Do you dislike either city for any reasons?
I'm moving from a small town so either will be a step up. It's not like San Francisco to one of them for me!
If any of you have experience in either of these two cities, I would greatly appreciate your feedback! It's a big choice so I'm trying to gather as much information as possible.
Thanks so much in advance, ladies! =)

I can't speak for OK City but I can for Nashville as I live here.
This town has a trendy GLBT area and other areas that are more open than you'd might think.
The T-Vals is a known middle TN support group for CD'ers. I suggest checking with them for more info. I do think you'll enjoy living here. :) When you get to town, let's talk over lunch sometime!

From what I have seen of it from passing through,I'd take it over the wildwest anyday. Anywhere there are stage performances,a T person will be accepted...my opinion anyway.:2c:

Ditto for Nashville! I get out there 2-3 times per month - great shopping, very open/accepting mainstream venues, gblt venues. I'd love another gal to go out with! If you plan to visit, let me know - maybe we can show you around.....

Thank you, you three! I figured Nashville was okay so that's encouraging! Does anyone else want to weigh in? Any Oklahoma City experience out there?
And if I do end up moving to Nashville, yes, I'd love to go out. =) (And if it's Oklahoma City, I'll still be in search of some OKC girls!)

I feel you should use the tags and find out what visitors to Oklahoma city have to say about it. I have spent time in both places and speak from experience about both places. Something I feel the responsees north of here lack.

I went to OK City twice for work and I was treated like gold there. Of course, that's as a visitor seen briefly so I have no idea how they would treat someone who is among them all of the time.

Last time I was in Ok. City was as a teen & not a fun place for a long-haired guy( & we're not going to get into how long ago that was ), but the state is one of the most politically backward in the country.
