ever since ive had beard and mustache growth ive been wanting it gone, well today i set up an apointment with the laser specialist and to my supprise it wasnt to expensive, i got the neck and face package for 1300 wasnt that bad u get six schedueled treatments and a two year warrenty (like 24 treatments if needed but not even likely). you can go every 4 weeks so you have two years from the time u start to make sure its gone, they say that six it the norm and with the new technolagy even gray hairs get zaped, it didnt hurt like i thought it would and i didnt even need to wory about the ice packs or any of that, they put some gell on u anyways and the heat last lituraly like two seconds for each zap, it was more anoying then anything. in fifteen or less minutes i was out of there, so eassy. im hoping i see results in less than two sessions but either way fifteen minutes a month for sixmonths to not have to shave ahhhhhhh price less

and not haveing to put beard cover on wha whoo i cant wait

15 minutes or less for a full face treatment? That's amazing. Do you have to let the beard grow at all? Any redness or scabbing?

Well even as a closet CD I would love to get this done as I loath shaving as I get these horrid ren abrassion marks at collar level and have done all my shaving life.

Now how do I sell this to my SO???????????????

america laser centers is what i went to and they have a location somewere near u, you put in a zip code and theyll set u up a concelation apointment, with no oblicgations to buy anything, plus any deals at the time and you get a good price too mine was just over two hundred a session of course you pay all a once but they do offer financing for approved credit. witch is no intrest for 18 months witch makes it less than a hundred amonth so there are possibilities people i never thought i would be able to afford it but the price of razors in them two years would add up and shaving cream and all the other stuff too so why not

I could swing it however convincing an already suspicious wife would be the only fly in the ointment, jeez it sounds so wonderful though, I am very jealous indeed

Must be some new fangeled laser then, to zap the gray ones.

Your hair grows in "on/off" cycles. Usually 10 week cycles. If you zap a hair that's not in a growth cycle, it may lay dormant for a while, but it will likely grow back. So I suggest not trying the 4 week schedule.

Hope this is not out of line but for a closet cd if that's your pic in your avatar you pull off looking fem nicely.

How to convince your So? Well it might be easier then you think for me the wife hates to kiss me with a scratchy face she loves the soft shaven thing. Not sure if not having a 5 o'clock shadow there matters but yeah if your So hates the scratchy kissing thing that might be your way in. Also trust me if there is a sex out there that knows of the pains of shaving its women and that is if your So is a gg just explain it that way be plain "I hate shaving every other day its a pain this just seems easier" your so might just agree with you maybe its something you can both get done aka her legs your face so she doesn't feel left out.

February 27 2010 marks my 2 year anniversary of once amonth treatments with American Laser. I would guess that there has been a 50 % reduction of dark hair and 0% of grey or white. They led me to beleive that most everything would be gone in the first 6 treatments and the remaining 2 years would be to pick up some occasional stragglers. That's called salesmenship.
Hope your results are better than mine.

Hmmm. After Rebecca's comments, I think I'll wait and hear how you're doing in a year, Danielle.

I googled American Laser Centers complaints and this is what I got. I hope you have better luck than those people. I went to a laser place, that was conected to a local hospital. They told me they had the newest lasers available, but they couldn't do my grey. The lady was blonde and said if it did light hair, she would be first in line. Good luck...BJ

American Laser Centers - bad results and custmer service
American Laser Centers - This was a scam!
American Laser Centers - skin
American Laser Centers - Bad customer service

American Laser Centers - $3600 and 1.5yrs later very little hair removed

im hoping this isnt the case but you know it dont matter where you go theres so many variables that factor in to all of it anyways and most anyplace you go someone some where has had bad experiance with them, wether its to many sections or not getting the greys or what have you, regaurdles i know i tried and if that dont work on to the next try right but if you dont try youll never ever know, sometimes its the equipment sometimes its the persons skin tone the color of the hair ect... what works for some dont work for the others and vice versa so lets just hope it works for me sooner then later , it must work somewhat couse u said a least 50% is gone even though it took longer than expected

Hi there

Ive found laser Treatment worked on my fifth secession didn't get rid of the white hairs though, using another option for this. laser got rid of 90percent of the hair thought so don't get the five o'clock Shadow any more.
Found it painful on the mustache area, and wasn't pretty looking for a day after treatments, told the wife Ive been working on a roofs at this time, the wife hasn't even commented on it,probably because of the problems were are having.:drink:
Was told that laser would not get rid of red, gray and white hair also not so good on darker skins.

Just had my second session about a hour ago. Ahhh, the smell of burning hair in the afternoon! What I really love is how some of the hairs erupt out of the follicles - due to pressure built up as they boil in their own juices I guess. I know those are dead!

Results from the first session - definitely much sparser growth on my neck, and at least for the first few weeks until the dormant hairs started growing I could have gone a couple days between shaves in guy mode.

I've gone past the gray hair stage. How does it work on white hair.

My results are similar to Geneva's.

I am at the 2 year mark for my laser treatments and I am 95% hair free on my face. I didn't have a whole bunch to start with, but what was there is basically gone (except the grey/white hairs). I'm pleased with the results. Also, I think I look younger.

And all the bad things people have said, they are entitled to their opinion. It just doesn't match mine.

Danielle, i have had very good results with laser...just about all my facial dark hair is gone.... i have, maybe 10 to 15% dark on lip now...[this is the toughest area to get for good.] i do have gray hair, but i no longer need a derma blend as a foundation. you are much younger, and should have great results. i had the 6 sessions at about 5 to 6 weeks apart...there are 3 growth cycles. from that point the nurse was doing touch ups and i payed 200 per session til i got to touch ups...then 100.00. i must have hed 8 ro 9 in total.

i am glad i did it...this gray hair that you mention has my attention... i may give the doc a call again.

it was the center for womens health. in pa.

hugs and good luck.

Sounds really great.

Do you remeber how, when you were a kid, you could not wait until the day you got to shave? Ah, what do kids know, anyway?
